The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide traditional values group, also notes that five of the thirteen who voted to homosexualize the military were voted out of office on November 2nd.

The Lame Duck Democrats, many of whom lost their jobs on November 2nd, continue their assault on our military! House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and Rep. Patrick Murphy (PA-8) introduced a bill to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT) Tuesday that could be inserted into a measure already passed in the Senate, a procedural maneuver that would speed up floor consideration in the Senate. Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) introduced a free-standing repeal bill (S. 4022) last Thursday.

The American Family Association of Pennsylvania, a statewide traditional values group, praised Monday’s 5-4 vote in Haverford Township to table Ordinance No. P24-2010, the so-called anti-discrimination ordinance. Earlier on Monday the AFA of PA had once again e-mailed each of the Commissioners outlining reasons why the proposed ordinance was not necessary and giving real world examples of what has happened in other places where such ordinances have passed.

Last night the US Senate by a vote of 57 to 40 voted ‘no’ for cloture on the Defense Authorization Act. Thus the amendment to repeal the 1993 law banning homosexuals in the military also went down to defeat. This vote took place after homosexual activists, President Obama, Senator Harry Reid and others have pushed relentlessly for more than two years to repeal the law, many times mislabeled Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.

Tonight by a vote of 11-0 Lower Merion Township turned a deaf ear to ignore the warnings and the concerns voiced by constituents and chose instead to give special protections to homosexuals, bisexuals and transgenders. Again, this afternoon the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide family values group, contacted each commissioner and gave them additional information concerning the ramification of such passage.
