Action Alert: Update on SB 732
November 22, 2011 // 0 CommentsThe delay in House action on SB 732 has been to attempt to make some reasonable accommodation of the State Senate’s position on the bill. House Floor Leader Mike Turzai said the House was attempting to make such an accommodation to avoid delaying SB 732 even further. Because when passed in the House and sent to the Senate they could amend SB 732 and thereby send it to a conference committee with even more delays than what have been occurring.

Today the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) emailed and faxed the Board of Supervisors concerning the public hearing about the so-called ‘anti-discrimination’ ordinance that was held tonight. The question is do the Township Supervisors have enough courage to honestly answer the questions and take a close look at the evidence presented outlining the dangers of passing the ordinance which will give special protections to homosexuals, bisexuals and transgenders simply because of the sexual activity in which they engage and who they think they are.

However, the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) notes that this response to the homosexual predator case is extremely hypocritical of Arne Duncan who is pushing school districts to approve gay straight alliance clubs which potentially places students in the path of homosexual predators.
News Release: City of York Should Disband Human Relations Commission

Mayor Kim Bracey of the City of York has announced an 11 percent tax increase, additional fees and the elimination of three currently vacant firefighter positions in the 2012 budget. The City Council has said they will spend the next few weeks pruning the mayor’s budget. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) encourages them to start by following the lead of Lancaster County and eliminate the city’s Human Relations Commission (HRC).

November 17, 2011 // 0 CommentsWord from Dr. Scott Lively from Springfield, MA: Two days ago a Marxist group called Arise for Social Justice (an Acorn affiliate, I believe) placed a large advertisement in the Springfield Republican newspaper attacking me and our church, Holy Grounds Coffee House. One of our church members confirmed that Arise was responsible for this ad, and was told that Arise has made its mission to drive our ministry, and me personally, out of Springfield.
Action Alert: Will DOMA Repeal Be Attached to Defense Bill?
November 16, 2011 // 0 CommentsWord out of Washington, DC indicate that Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senator Dianne Feinstein, sponsor of S 598, will attach it to the Defense Authorization Act. This is the annual bill which funds our military! Remember S598 is the bill which would overturn the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). It was just voted out of the Senate Judiciary Committee along party lines last Thursday and now liberal Democrats are trying to attach it to a must pass bill.
