This is what he said in a statement on Friday: Women will have access to free preventive care that includes contraceptive services, but if a women’s employer objects to birth control for religious reasons “the insurance company will be required to reach out and offer the woman contraceptive care free of charge.”
Action Alert: Stop Effort to Rescind ‘Year of the Bible’ Resolution
February 13, 2012 // 4 CommentsUltra liberal State Representative Mark Cohen and his fellow Democrat Greg Vitali (this is the guy who in 2006 compared those supporting the PA Marriage Protection Amendment with “those who flew the planes into the World Trade Center on 911″) have introduced a motion for reconsideration of non-binding House Resolution 535 which declares 2012 “The Year of the Bible.” The resolution passed unanimously on January 28th — meaning Cohen also voted for it, but he says the resolution was, ” buried with a whole bunch of other resolutions at a time when legislators were focused on getting on the ballot and running for re-election.” Maybe he should read the bill before he votes on it!
