The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote on Andrew David Hurwitz, Nominee for the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals tomorrow.
Who is Mr. Hurwitz?
1.) He acted as a key author of abortion court decisions that were eventually relied upon by the US Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade. Hurwitz claims that these pro abortion decisions influenced the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe and Hurwitz makes it clear that he is very proud of his role in these pro-abortion decisions.February 28, 2012 // 4 Comments
On December 6th Magisterial District Judge Mark Martin dismissed harassment charges that had been filed against a Muslim who allegedly accosted, harassed and choked an atheist Ernest Perce who, along with a friend, participated in the Mechanicsburg’s Halloween parade. Perce dressed as the zombie Muhammad while his friend “Carl” depicted a zombie pope. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a traditional values group, does not support the depictions of Muhammad and the Pope as zombies, but finds the facts around the case very troubling.February 26, 2012 // 0 Comments

A look at the Freedom to Marry website does list Lansdowne’s Jayne Young, Doylestown’s Libby White, Newtown’s Dennis O’Brien, Macungie’s Rick Hoffman, Easton’s Salvatore Panto, Philadelphia’s Michael Nutter and Bethlehem’s John Callahan as signers of the statement, but neither the Reading or Erie mayor is listed.February 22, 2012 // 0 Comments

Furman is a US District Court nominee for the Southern District of New York – but he is easily the worst nominee since Goodwin Liu and Victoria Nourse, and as you will see below and attached he has a horrendous record.February 15, 2012 // 3 Comments
Remember Obama’s compromise on the Health and Human Services mandate to cover abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception is not a compromise! This is what he said in a statement on Friday: Women will have access to free preventive care that includes contraceptive services, but if a women’s employer objects to birth control for religious reasons “the insurance company will be required to reach out and offer the woman contraceptive care free of charge.”February 13, 2012 // 4 Comments
Ultra liberal State Representative Mark Cohen and his fellow Democrat Greg Vitali (this is the guy who in 2006 compared those supporting the PA Marriage Protection Amendment with “those who flew the planes into the World Trade Center on 911″) have introduced a motion for reconsideration of non-binding House Resolution 535 which declares 2012 “The Year of the Bible.” The resolution passed unanimously on January 28th — meaning Cohen also voted for it, but he says the resolution was, ” buried with a whole bunch of other resolutions at a time when legislators were focused on getting on the ballot and running for re-election.” Maybe he should read the bill before he votes on it!
