News Release -Trying to Make HIV A Disease For Which Everyone Should be Tested

Today is the 19th National HIV Testing Day – “Take the Test. Take Control.” In 2006 the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) began recommending that every American aged 13 to 64 be tested annually for HIV/AIDS, saying it “should be as common as a cholesterol check.” The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), is appalled that the CDC continues ignoring its own statistics and pretend HIV is not a ‘gay disease’ as Matt Foreman, former executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force said.
News Release: Supreme Court Upholds Federal Broadcast Decency Laws

The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a broadcast decency advocate, is mostly pleased by the United States Supreme Court decision in the Federal Communications Commission v. Fox case handed down today upholding the federal broadcast decency law (18 USC 1464) including the “fleeting expletives” rule. As television programming aired over the people’s airwaves continues its assault on our senses the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) must do its part in enforcing the law.

On Friday President Obama held a reception in honor of “LGBT Pride Month,” further pandering to his homosexual base in his bid for re-election. On May 9th he had announced his evolution was complete and he now personally supports same-gender so-called marriage. Since then attacks on natural marriage have increased, including one attack taking place in the White House last Friday. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), an advocate for traditional marriage, continues to be concerned about America’s children as the framework in which they do best is disintegrating.
Lancaster County Alert: Newspaper Prints Same-sex “Engagement” Announcement
June 15, 2012 // 0 CommentsThe same-sex “engagement” announcement of a male homosexual couple was initially turned down by Lancaster Newspapers because it was not “consistent with prevailing community values.” The next stop for the homosexual couple was WGAL to get the word out about what they perceived as discriminatory action by the newspaper. Within days the newspaper had caved to pressure from those demanding they run the announcement.
News Release: Philly Trashed by Homosexuals During Philly “Gay Pride”

On Sunday June 10th Philadelphia was trashed and our Founding Fathers were insulted; did anyone notice? The Philadelphia “Gay Pride” Parade and Festival were held on Sunday. The parade route carried it along Market Street in front of Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell Pavilion. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) is appalled that such an activity insulting our Founding Fathers could be allowed to take place there.
News Release – AFA of PA Fully Supports the Apostolic Holiness Church Sign
June 9, 2012 // 0 CommentsOn Memorial Day the Apostolic Holiness Church in Connellsville had unexpected visitors for their evening service. Homosexual activists picketed the church because of the “offensive” language on their outdoor sign. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), fully supports the language the church posted, even though it was considered ‘hateful’ and ‘discriminatory’ by the demonstrators. In a show of support the AFA of PA has sent a letter to Pastor Terry Upton.

In fact, it was so hate-filled and offensive to them that they picketed the church on May 27th to show their displeasure. What would a church place on their outside sign that could be so offensive? The sign declared one man one woman marriage as “God’s Way.”

The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide traditional values group, has two questions (1) why would any politician turn his or her back on so many American voters? and (2) the homosexual lifestyle-what is there to be proud of?
