Action Alert: Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day is Tomorrow!
July 31, 2012 // 0 CommentsTomorrow has been designated by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day to give us an opportunity to show our support for this Christian-family owned business and the stand its President and Corporate Operating Officer, Dan Cathy, has taken for traditional marriage. He is also the son of founder Truett Cathy.
Action Alert: Thank Chick-fil-A

Last week Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy made the “mistake” of saying he believes marriage should only be between one man and one woman and warned of God’s judgment on America:
“I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage. I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.”
Action Alert: UN Treaty Vote Scheduled for Thursday
July 24, 2012 // 0 CommentsA vote had been scheduled last Thursday in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities (CRPD). However, Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) led an effort to prevent that from happening. Chairman John Kerry (D-Mass.) announced at that time that he will instead hold the markup on July 26, the 22nd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Action Alert: Ask Senators to Vote ‘No” on DISCLOSE Act
July 17, 2012 // 0 CommentsYesterday Senate Republicans were able to block Harry Reid’s version of campaign finance — S3369 the Democracy Is Strengthened by Casting Light On Spending in Elections Act of 2012 or DISCLOSE Act. This piece of legislation was just introduced on July 10th and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wants it passed NOW! Every voting Republican voted against cloture — a motion to limit debate on a motion to proceed to the bill — which requires a 60 vote majority. (Senator Bob Casey, Jr. voted ‘Yea;’ Senator Toomey voted ‘Nay.’) The vote was 51 to 44. Senator Reid has called for further debate today with another cloture vote at 3:00 p.m. They are desperate to get this passed before the November election!
Alert: Ask Senators to Vote “No” on UN Treaty
July 16, 2012 // 3 CommentsDidn’t the United States pass the Americans with Disabilities Act a couple decades ago? Why do we now need the United Nations having a say in this matter? President Obama signed the Convention on the Rights of Disabled Persons treaty on July 30, 2009 and sent it the Senate for ratification! It remained in limbo until it became apparent to liberals in the Senate that they were not going to be able to muster the necessary votes to get the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) ratified — which went down in defeat earlier today when 31 Senators announced their opposition to it.
News Release: DoD Being Politically Correct?
July 13, 2012 // 0 Comments
Increasingly the religious freedoms of Christian military personnel is under assault whether it be chaplains who feel harassed for not endorsing homosexuality or the US Government ordering Bibles be burned in Afghanistan. On July 10th a letter was sent to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta asking for an explanation to recent actions taken by the Department of Defense (DoD). The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) was pleased to see one Pennsylvania Congressman’s name on the letter, but wonders where the other eighteen were. The AFA of PA thanks Congressman Mike Kelly for signing onto the letter to Leon Panetta and standing for the religious freedoms of our soldiers, sailors and Marines.
