Petition to Impeach Eric Holder

Details

During an interview on Monday  US Attorney General Eric Holder told his state counterparts, such as Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane, that is was okay not to enforce state marriage laws or state constitutional amendments that they believe are discriminatory.  Even the New York Times noted, “It is highly unusual for the United States attorney general to advise his state counterparts on how and when to refuse to defend state laws.”

Check out our news release about Kane picking and choosing which laws to defend.

Besides advising state attorneys general that it’s okay to ignore their oath of office and not defend the constitution and laws they had sworn to uphold, he is mistaken in equating “gay” rights to the civil rights fight of African Americans in the 1950’s and 60’s.

In response, yesterday the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP)  announced a petition drive calling for the impeachment of Eric Holder.  Their goal is one million signatures.
