Stop the Homosexual Special Rights Bill (The Bathroom Bill) — HB 1510
Details
Here’s the update on HB 1510. Yesterday, a discharge petition was filed in the House to get HB 1510 moved from the House State Government Committee. Homosexual activists and their allies are trying to bypass the normal legislative process by working behind the scenes with well-funded out-of-state organizations like the Human Rights Campaign to get HB 1510 (or its companion bill in the Senate — SB 974) on Governor Wolf’s desk. Remember these bill s would add “sexual orientation and gender identity or expression” to the PA Human Relations Act which impacts employment, housing and public accommodations. It is NOT about economic prosperity, which is what the promoters of this bill are telling legislators and business owners they are conning into supporting it! It is all about taking away the right of conscience of Christian business owners AND forcing open the bathroom, shower and locker room doors of every business in PA that employs four or more people, as well as religious organizations that receive ANY state funding for soup kitchens, halfway houses, homes for pregnant teens, etc.
