Repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell in the Senate – Vote Saturday!

Details

On Wednesday the House once again voted to repeal the law banning homosexuals in the military – erroneously called Don’t Ask Don’t Tell after the convoluted Clinton policy.  This was a stand alone bill – HR 2965 —  unlike the amendment to the Defense Authorization Act they had passed earlier.    Click here to see how your Congressman voted.   Click here for our news release.

The action now moves to the Senate where currently a vote is scheduled for Saturday December 18th.

Action Step

Call both Senator Arlen Specter and Bob Casey, Jr.   Call the district office AND Washington, DC office of both our US Senators.  Click here for those numbers.    Since there will be no hearings scheduled on this major policy change, ask them to read the entire Pentagon Report concerning the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.   If they do not read this report personally, they are not qualified to vote on the issue!
