About the time the twelve journalists and cartoonists were Baga Nigerian killingskilled in Paris, France, the radical Islamic group Boko Haram killed 2,000 Christians in Baga, Nigeria. The victims were mostly women, children and the elderly who were not able to run fast enough to escape the onslaught. This is the deadliest massacre in the history of this group bent on taking over Nigeria and creating an Islamic state.

Female suicide bombers, some as young as 10 years-old struck this weekend. More than a dozen were killed and scores injured in these attacks. Thousands have fled the outlying areas around Baga, crossing into neighboring Chad.

How is the Obama Administration responding? They are “concerned,” but say the Nigerian government is expected to defend its own people. At the same time White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest made a bizarre statement, “At the same time, we are also going to continue to urge the Nigerian government to live up to some basic human rights and some principles of basic human rights that sometimes get overlooked out of an effort to try to fight this terrible terrorist scourge that they are dealing with in their country right now.”

Just what does he mean by this?

African nations which hold to the idea that homosexual acts are acts against nature and criminalize sodomy and same-sex “marriage” have been targeted by the Obama Administration. Foreign aid to these developing countries have been withheld because of these views.

  • In 2011 the tiny African country of Malawi saw nearly $350 million dollars in US aid rescinded because of its criminalization of sodomy.
  • In April 2014 the US government shut down the Nigerian clinic and medical research facility that was part of the Makerere University Walter Reed Project.  An employee had been arrested for “unethical research” and “recruiting homosexuals. He was questioned and released the same day.   Within hours of the arrest — and release — the Department of State issued a statement announcing the suspension of operations at the facility.
  • Last January Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan signed into law a ban on so-called same-sex “marriage.” This after threats from the Obama Administration that it could cost them foreign aid from the US.

Now a year later, we have the statement from Obama’s Press Secretary wanting the Nigerian government to live up to some “basic human rights.” The assumption can only be that they mean the basic human rights of those who identify as gay and lesbian, since that has become a favorite phrase in the administration’s global efforts to normalize homosexuality.

Two thousand Nigerians have been killed by Boko Haram and apparently the Obama Administration is more interested in advancing the normalization of homosexuality.
