Sundays are “Kids Day” at PNC Park where the Pirates play baseball. This Sunday July 2nd is also “Pride Day” as their website declares “Join the Pirates and supporters of the LGBT Community at PNC Park for our first Pride Day.” This is outrageous! Parents should not be put in the uncomfortable situation of having to explain to their young children why two men or two women are holding hands and/or kissing.
Concerns continue to mount over the sale of 145 acres in Shenango Township, Lawrence County to a New Jersey Islamic group that has not informed the locals (not even elected officials) as to what their intentions are for the property. Senator Elder Vogel has introduced a joint resolution which would stop the sale.
This past Sunday was Father’s Day, but it was also the Philadelphia Gay Pride Parade and Festival! Just who were the sponsors and participating organizations this year? Take a look and use the information to help in future decisions in where and how you spend your money.
June is “Gay Pride Month,” although it has been expanded to be more “inclusive” and is now “LGBT Pride Month.” President Obama made it a habit to issue a proclamation recognizing June as “gay pride” month, but President Trump has refused to do so. LGBT activists are crying foul! Unfortunately, the Department of Defense has taken matters into its own hands and issued a ‘pride’ memo.
A pro-life rally is planned for June 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Rotunda of the State Capital Building in Harrisburg. This is to show support for bills defunding Planned Parenthood (SB 300) and extending PA’s ban on abortions from 24 weeks to 20 weeks and ban dismemberment abortions (SB 3).
State Rep Daryl Metcalfe has penned a letter to the PA Human Relations Commission reminding them of their proper role in government and that it does not involve rewriting laws as they attempt to redefine the word “sex” in the PA Human Relations Act and the PA Fair Educational Opportunities Act! Ask your legislator to get involved.
Americans are becoming desensitized to pornography. We live in a society that, by and large, has learned to ignore the Playboy magazine on the racks in the local convenience store, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition at the local Walmart, the pornographic books at the local bookstores, the strip club along the road your child’s school bus travels every day, etc., etc. As we have become desensitized, it has emboldened those wanting to further sexualize our communities/nation and we can see the results through increased reports of rape, sexual assault and human trafficking. It is time for Christians to take action!
The US National Institute of Health Director, Dr. Francis Collins, is supportive of embryonic cloning and embryonic stem cell research. He has been in that position since 2009 and does not reflect the pro-life direction President Donald Trump is leading the country. He should be replaced with someone who respects life from the moment of conception.
Homosexual activists and their ally in the PA governor’s mansion are getting impatient with the legislature, which has correctly not extended special rights to homosexuals/transgenders by passing laws which would add ‘sexual orientation and gender identity or expression’ to the PA Human Relations Act. However, Governor Wolf through the PA Human Relations Commission seeks to make those changes simply by changing the definition of the word ‘sex’ within the laws the commission oversees!
It’s called ‘merit selection of judges,’ but it would take away your ability to vote for PA Supreme, Superior and Commonwealth Court judges. How would those judges be chosen? The Governor would get to choose from a list handed him by a 13-member panel and then confirmed by a simple majority in the PA Senate. HB 111 would do just that and it’s in the House Judiciary Committee right now!
