We’re only hours away from a new year and your opportunity to make a tax-deductible contribution to the AFA of PA for 2017 is about to end. Donations must be made by midnight on December 31, 2017 in order to be credited for 2017 tax purposes. Would you consider supporting the AFA of PA’s work? Here’s your chance!
Time is very short for your municipality’s elected officials to take action to prohibit mini-casinos from being established within its borders. These so-called mini-casinos can house between 300 and 750 slot machines and up to 40 table games! This would be bad news for any municipality and the state allows local elected officials to opt out, but they need to act NOW!
President Trump’s efforts to ban transgenders from enlisting in the military have been thwarted by activists judges. The most recent ruling requires implementation of the Obama transgender military plan to be implemented on January 1, 2018. Is the DOD doing enough to stop this? Why did General Mattis put an Obama holdover in charge of the “panel of experts” who will be advising President Trump on the transgenders in the military policy?
Christmas is right around the corner and companies depend upon this time of year to end their year in the black, so they want you to shop with them. They say “Merry Christmas” and have the sales to entice you into their store or onto their website. They want your business, but how do they feel about your values the rest of the year. To them Christmas is a time to make lots of money, ignoring the Reason for the Season and totally ignoring the moral standards upheld by the Reason for the Season – Jesus. Not only that, but Jesus expects his followers to uphold those standards.
Synopsis: December 15, 1791, the day Virginia voted to ratify, was the day the Bill of Rights became part of the United States Constitution. These ten amendments were designed to limit the power of the federal government. Too many Americans, including judges, don’t remember the real reason for the Bill of Rights nor the original intent of them. And . . . no, “separation of church and state” is not there! Now you have an opportunity to commemorate the Bill of Rights on their birthday!
Did you know it is perfectly legal to abort a baby in Pennsylvania even when that baby can feel pain? Yes, it is perfectly legal to tear a baby in the womb apart limb by limb even though he or she feels pain. SB 3 would ban abortions after 20 weeks – the time research has shown a baby feels pain – and would ban dismemberment abortions.
Chairman of the House State Government Committee, Representative Daryl Metcalfe, has been under attack since December 5th because he once again asked Democratic chair Matt Bradford to not touch him. This has caused an uproar among homosexual activists with Equality PA, SEIU, the Pennsylvania Democrat Party and Governor Tom Wolf demanding his removal from the chairman’s seat. They claim this is further proof that he is a “homophobic bigot” not qualified for the chairmanship of this committee. Metcalfe did not accuse Bradford, a married father of four, of being a homosexual, but simply asked him to stop touching him.
The First Amendment of the US Constitution hangs in the balance. Will homosexual activists get their way in their demand that every American affirm their relationship or will the US Supreme Court uphold the religious freedom of Christian business owners who do not want to use their God-given talents to help celebrate something they view as sinful?
First Lady Melania Trump has done a great job designing the Christmas theme for the White House – from Merry Christmas in the official White House Christmas card to actually saying those words in the news release her office issued. The White House decorations even include a nativity scene. So . . . if the White House can display such an “unconstitutional” nativity scene, every government building in the US that does the same thing should not be badgered by the ACLU or the Freedom from Religion Foundation!
There is another opportunity to stop the use of tax dollars for so-called sex change surgeries for children. Even though this language was stripped from the House CHIP bill before final passage, another bill — HB 1933 — has been introduced and passed out of the State House Health Committee. This bill would ban the use of tax dollars for not only sex change surgeries, but ban reimbursements for puberty blockers, cross sex hormones and other drugs used in this destructive and impossible attempt to change a child’s sex, as well as pro-transgender counseling!
