Another municipality in southeastern Pennsylvania is considering a homosexual special rights ordinance. Why is this a special rights ordinance? What other law is passed simply based upon the sexual activity in which you engage or who you THINK you are? This has nothing to do with civil rights since such laws historically have been extended to groups which show immutable (unchangeable) characteristics, political powerlessness, and have experienced a long history of discrimination.
Commissioner Holmes has indicated he will ask the Board of Commissioners to reconsider the original version of the anti-discrimination ordinance on Monday, January 10th. He nor any of the other supporters of the ordinance have answered any of the questions we posed to them in a November 8th e-mail.

The Lame Duck Democrats, many of whom lost their jobs on November 2nd, continue their assault on our military! House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and Rep. Patrick Murphy (PA-8) introduced a bill to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT) Tuesday that could be inserted into a measure already passed in the Senate, a procedural maneuver that would speed up floor consideration in the Senate. Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) introduced a free-standing repeal bill (S. 4022) last Thursday.
Vote on the DREAM Act anticipated in the Senate today. Vote during the lame duck session on the repeal of the 1993 law banning homosexuals in the military seems increasingly unlikely. Senate Democrats are considering rolling all 12 spending bills into one – one vote will cover all 12 bills!
Vote on S 510 – the “Food Safety Modernization Act” expected today in the Senate. The Southern Poverty Law Center lists the American Family Association as a ‘hate group.’ Just who is the Southern Poverty Law Center?
On Wednesday afternoon the Philadelphia solicitor and attorney for the Cradle of Liberty Scout Council (COLBSA) jointly announced a settlement. 1.) On Wednesday the Senate voted for cloture on SB 510 – “FDA Food Safety Modernization Act.” 2.) However this treaty, which President Carter signed 31 years ago, wants to end discrimination of women as defined by the United Nations.
