Last night Allentown City Council ignored scientific facts and voted unanimously to ban needed therapy for minors. According to the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), this only proves they do not understand the issue, but are willing to bow to pressure from LGBT activists and ignore the needs of its own citizens with unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA). The decision leaves parents and minor children with SSA or gender confusion without hope of finding help within their own city. What therapy will city council target next?
The US House just voted to allow our taxpayer dollars to be used to pay for “sex reassignment surgeries” for military personnel! Congresswoman Vickie Hartzler’s amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act 2018 was defeated by a vote of 209 to 214. Four of those ‘Nay” votes were Pennsylvania Republicans!
Tonight Allentown City Council is scheduled to vote on Bill No. 40-2017 which would take away the parental rights of the citizens of that city who may have a child with unwanted same-sex attraction or gender confusion. If the bill becomes law those parents could no longer seek counseling for their child in Allentown because any therapist who offered help would lose his or her license by that simple act. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide organization advocating for children, has contacted Mayor Ed Pawlowski and City Council with information they need to consider before voting tonight.
Allentown is poised to take away the parental rights of those with children who have unwanted same-sex attraction or who are confused about their gender. Such a step would trap these minors in a lifestyle they are trying to avoid and lead to a feeling of hopelessness. Talk therapy is not abuse!
The Department of Defense has issued a six month delay in the implementation of the previous administration’s open transgenders in the military policy. However, the entire idea should be scapped and Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler plans to introduce an amendment to the NDAA 2018 that would do just that!
Sundays are “Kids Day” at PNC Park where the Pirates play baseball. This Sunday July 2nd is also “Pride Day” as their website declares “Join the Pirates and supporters of the LGBT Community at PNC Park for our first Pride Day.” This is outrageous! Parents should not be put in the uncomfortable situation of having to explain to their young children why two men or two women are holding hands and/or kissing.
This past Sunday was Father’s Day, but it was also the Philadelphia Gay Pride Parade and Festival! Just who were the sponsors and participating organizations this year? Take a look and use the information to help in future decisions in where and how you spend your money.
Today the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) faxed each member of the Philadelphia Committee on Public Health and Human Services a letter outlining several reasons why passage of the bill adding Section 9-903 “Conversion Therapy” to Chapter 9-900 of The Philadelphia Code was not a positive move for the citizens of the City of Philadelphia. Passage of the bill would prohibit “the practice of conversion therapy by mental-health providers on patients under 18 years of age, under certain terms and conditions.”
June is “Gay Pride Month,” although it has been expanded to be more “inclusive” and is now “LGBT Pride Month.” President Obama made it a habit to issue a proclamation recognizing June as “gay pride” month, but President Trump has refused to do so. LGBT activists are crying foul! Unfortunately, the Department of Defense has taken matters into its own hands and issued a ‘pride’ memo.
State Rep Daryl Metcalfe has penned a letter to the PA Human Relations Commission reminding them of their proper role in government and that it does not involve rewriting laws as they attempt to redefine the word “sex” in the PA Human Relations Act and the PA Fair Educational Opportunities Act! Ask your legislator to get involved.
