The Day Has Arrived

(Harrisburg) — The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide defender of natural one man one woman marriage, has warned for years of the danger of not passing a Marriage Protection Amendment.   Using the June 26th US Supreme Court 5-4 decision to toss Section 3 of the federal Defense of Marriage Act as a springboard, the ACLU has moved to challenge Pennsylvania’s own Defense of Marriage Act.

“The actions of the ACLU come as no surprise; they were simply waiting for the right time to attack traditional marriage here in PA.  Using Pennsylvania’s adoption law as the foundation for their lawsuit goes to show the danger of allowing judges to decide from the bench what makes up a family.  In too many cases men playing God have created children with two dads or two moms since such sexual relations do not result in babies.  Homosexual activists are not interested in the welfare of children or marriage, except for it to be used to legitimize their relationship through the force of law,” commented Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.

Last year homosexual activist Masha Gessen, who has “three children with five parents,”  spoke truthfully to an audience about the lies being told in the push for same-sex “marriage.”  Beginning about six minutes into her presentation, she said:

“Gay marriage is a lie.”

“Fighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we’re going to do with marriage when we get there.”

“It’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist.”

In 2006 a group of homosexual activists and their allies signed onto a statement entitled “Beyond Same-sex Marriage” which fully outlined their desire to redefine marriage and family to include many living arrangements.

“It becomes plainer each day that homosexual activists’ intentions are to force their lifestyle choice on the rest of America using the courts if necessary.  Pennsylvania is their next immediate target and it is now up to Attorney General Kathleen Kane to vigorously defend our Defense of Marriage Act.  The question is can she forget her endorsement from Equality PA during last year’s election and do what she is expected to do as Pennsylvania’s Attorney General?” Gramley questioned.
