And They Say They Don’t Target Children; Homosexuals Want Bert and Ernie to Wed

(Harrisburg) – Daily we are told by homosexual activists that they do not target children, yet the evidence points to another conclusion.  Children are bombarded with pro-homosexual propaganda at all levels.  Elementary school children are exposed to books such as King and King, Heather Has Two Mommies and Tango Makes Three – all in an attempt to paint homosexuality as safe and normal.  The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a traditional values and child advocacy group, notes that our nation’s children are the targets in this culture war; they are the guinea pigs in this great social experiment of remolding our nation’s ideas on marriage and family.

“This recent effort to try to convince the producers of Sesame Street to have Bert and Ernie wed is outrageous, yet not totally surprising as homosexual activists’ primary targets are impressionable and vulnerable children,” remarked Diane Gramley, President of the AFA of PA.

In the minds of these activists the legalization of unnatural homosexual ‘marriage’ in New York should lead to wedding bells ringing for Bert and Ernie on Sesame Street.  In their minds this would help children be more ‘tolerant’ of homosexuals.   While, in actuality it would give a clear signal that so-called same-sex marriage is normal and okay.

The producers of Sesame Street have said they have no intention of marrying off Bert and Ernie because even though the Sesame Street puppets have many human traits, they have no sexual orientation.

“In the guise of preventing bullying and teaching tolerance of those who are different, homosexuals activists have stepped over the line targeting younger and younger children.  They are willing to push a very dangerous lifestyle on pre-school children and this should outrage parents around the nation.  Their goal is to sexualize children in an attempt to get them to accept homosexuality.  Concerned parents should contact Sesame Workshop and express their support for friends Bert and Ernie not husband and husband Bert and Ernie,” further commented Gramley.

To even suggest that Bert and Ernie ought to be married is tantamount to the self-destruction of children and any morality at all for the future of this country. It is evil. It is sin. It is of great consequence. Let us call this what it is – it is an attempt of Satan to conquer all!

  2. Andrew Shontz says:

I do not agree with Bert and Ernie being married, but you better look at your bible a little bit closer, do you actually think children that defy there parents, should be stoned to death, come on. Same with a lot of things that are in the bible, It was written by men, not by god. They made there own choices, as to what they wanted in the bible.

  3. afaofpa says:

Perhaps you should look at church history and how books of the Bible were canonized before saying they were simply written by men. While the verse you refer to in Deuteronomy 21 is taken out of context, it does say that sons who are rebellious, drunken spendthrifts are to be stoned by the elders in order to purge the evil among them. Compare that to Jesus’ words in Matthew 18:5-6: “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” And Paul’s words in Ephesians 6:4 and Colossians 3:21 where he tells fathers not to provoke their children to anger, but also tells children to obey their parents.

Seems to be a either a lack of investigation or a lack of information included with this piece. Who is attempting to convince the producers to have Bert and Ernie marry ? Is it a organization ? A series of indepentend writings or letters ?I’ve looked around and have not found mention of it at any other news source. The only source on this article appears to be the president of the publication. Please correct me if there are other sources. 20$ says this comment doesn’t make it past the mods.

  5. afaofpa says:

Frank, you can make your $20 donation to the AFA of PA by clicking on the “Make a Donation” button on the right. All you have to do is go to change.org and key in Bert and Ernie in the search box and find out who is behind the effort.

  6. Frank says:

I will make my donation as soon as sources are posted.

  7. Frank says:

Wait wait wait. Change.org !? Isn’t that a site that has put forth over ten thousand petitions without changing anything ? That’s who your afraid of ? It was probably some kid in their basement that made the petition just to watch people get riled up. This isn’t news. It’s yellow journalism at it’s finest. There is no homosexual agenda here, there is only the Internet. Trolls +1.

  8. June says:

LOL. My friend told me about this article. It only tales about ten mins to start a petition on change.org. Actually hang on …………………. There. I just made one asking Bert and Ernie to do an episode based on how god hates homosexuals. Now your only source argues both sides.

  9. afaofpa says:

Hmm, Frank it’s interesting that your previous post said, “20$ says this comment doesn’t make it past the mods.” Have you now changed your terms?

  10. afaofpa says:

Interesting that a six month old news release has generated so much interest recently. You apparently came upon a link to it or did some digging around on our website to find it. And apparently you are unwilling to accept the New York Daily News article as a source.

  11. James says:

I’m with frank. And I don’t see the new York daily news used or cited as a source anywhere. I just signed junes petition too. There is a pretty funny chain e-mail going around making fun of the author of this article.

  12. Frank says:

I paid the 20 to the person I made the bet with. Why do you think everything is about you ?

  13. afaofpa says:

James, if you and Frank would look at the first quote in the news release there is a link to click– that goes to the New York Post article.

  14. afaofpa says:

Frank, next time you should clarify your intentions when you place a bet in a post.
