Cloture Vote on Anti-Christian Judicial Nominee

Details

It appears that Democrat leadership in the Senate is planning to bring the ultra-liberal judicial nominee Jesse Furman to a vote TODAY.

Furman is a US District Court nominee for the Southern District of New York  – but he is easily the worst nominee since Goodwin Liu and Victoria Nourse, and as you will see below and attached he has a horrendous record.

Furman should be defeated for two reasons.  First, and most importantly, Furman’s record proves that as a Judge he would not respect the proper and limited role of an Article III Judge.  Second, President Obama’s unconstitutional non-recess “recess appointments” must be met with a meaningful response beyond mere speeches.

Some reasons to oppose Furman:

1.)  The Supreme Court rejected Furman’s invitation for the Court to legislate from the bench and re-write the First Amendment to discriminate against Christian schoolchildren  (Good News Club vs. Milford Central School)

2.)  Furman argued that First Amendment free speech rights do not extend to Christians because they do not “promote cohesion among a heterogeneous democratic people.”

3.) Furman is a leader of the American Constitution Society which rejects a literal reading of the Constitution.

4.)  Furman supported ultra-leftist Goodwin Liu, a judicial nominee the Senate refused to confirm because of his radical advocacy for judicial usurpation of legislative power.

5.)  Furman used inflammatory language to express his open opposition to individual Second Amendment rights.

6.)  Furman sdvocates blaming society for the misconduct of criminals rather than holding them accountable for breaking the law.

Remember even though he’s a nominee for the Southern District of New York, his decisions can ultimately impact the PA court system, so he must be opposed by Pennsylvanians too!
