The supporters of this bill say they will take the fight to defund Planned Parenthood and build the wall to the battle over the 2018 budget. Sound familiar?
Will they or won’t they – that is the question. Will the GOP include funding for Planned Parenthood in this upcoming continuing resolution? Democrats want it there, but will the GOP stand up to them? Perhaps they need a reminder that they are in the majority!

Ninety-one Republicans joined all the Democrats in the House to pass a bill to fund the US government and Planned Parenthood until December 11th. How’d PA Congressmen do?
That measure would die in the Senate, which in the meantime would send the House a “clean CR.” The plan, as Cole understands it, would have the House pass that “clean” stopgap close to the government shutdown deadline.
So . . . is there a real effort to defund Planned Parenthood for one year as an investigation into the role the abortion provider has played in the sale of body parts from aborted babies or is this all just a game being played so our Reps and Senators can say, “Well, we tried to defund Planned Parenthood, but . . . . Oh, and make sure you vote for us because we tried. ”
The US government runs out of money at midnight tonight. The Republicans are being warned not to shut the government down, even though it is President Obama who said he’d shut it down if the Republicans didn’t allow him to extend amnesty to five million illegal aliens!
Today the US House passed a bill to defund Obamacare, but would keep the government running through mid-December. (Question: Where in the Constitution does it allow for continuing resolutions??) The vote was 230-189 mostly along party lines with one Republican voting ‘nay’ and two Democrats voting ‘aye.’ Also, 13 did not vote including Pennsylvania’s Chaka Fattah and Tim Murphy.
