AFA of PA encourages Christians, through education, to become involved in pro-family issues in their community, state and the nation. This is some of what has been going on in the Commonwealth and the nation.
1.) On Monday the US Supreme Court announced they would not hear the case involving the German homeschool family, the Romeike’s, who had been granted initial asylum until the Obama Administration intervened. Less than 24 hours later the Department of Homeland Security contacted the Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) and announced they were granting the Romeike’s indefinite deferred action status.
2.) Today the nomination of Debo Adegbile to head the Department of Justice’s Office of Civil Rights was rejected by the US Senate by a vote of 47-52.
Senator Casey recently joined the chorus of Pennsylvanians calling for a rejection of Debo Adegbile as assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. He was voted out of the Senate Judiciary Committee on February 7.
