A little background: In April of this year Peter LaBarbera, president of Chicago-based Americans for Truth About Homosexuality was invited to speak at the annual conference of the Saskatchewan Pro-life Association. Upon his entry into Canada, he was immediately detained on the grounds he could be violating Canada’s “Hate Propaganda” law. The authorities at the Regina Airport searched through all his luggage, his cell phone, all the books and other material he was bringing into the country, closely scrutinized his website After the three hour ordeal, they decided he would not be admitted into the country, told he could appeal their decision the next day and was handed over to his friend Bill Whatcott.
Peter LaBarbera with Americans for Truth About Homosexuality has been invited to speak at the annual conference of the Saskatchewan Pro-life Association (SPLA) on Saturday. Yesterday Diane Gramley participated in a news conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC to announce the formation of the international Coalition for Family Values. The endeavor is being spearheaded by Scott Lively of Defend the Family International and Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality. The coalition, while acknowledging there are Russian policies we do not accept, issued a statement praising Russia for passing laws to protect their children from homosexual propaganda.
Thank you for your prayers. Tuesday’s news conference in front of the Washington, DC headquarters of the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest homosexual lobby group, went off without incident. A big thanks to Peter LaBarbera with Americans for Truth About Homosexuality for organizing the press conference. All the participants did a great job. The truth was spoken during the news conference – including the dangers of the homosexual lifestyle, no one is born ‘gay,’ and disagreeing with their political agenda and not celebrating their lifestyle does not make us haters. The Gospel was presented by several who participated. Pray that those who heard what the Bible really says about sin and the need for repentance will accept God’s plan of salvation.
Yesterday 61% of North Carolina voters said ‘yes’ on Amendment One which not only defined marriage as only between one man and one woman, but also banned civil unions. As you will see in our news release ,banning civil unions is also critical in protecting natural marriage. However, our Republican majority in Harrisburg still does not get it and are refusing to do the right thing and allow We the People to vote on a Marriage Protection Amendment!
Homosexual activists cry ‘tolerance’ very loudly, yet show the least tolerance towards those who do not agree with them. Another perfect example of this is Saturday morning’s attack on the Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, Illinois where a pro-family group planned a fund raising banquet that evening. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide traditional values group, has worked closely with Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) and has interviewed Dr. Scott Lively several times for our weekly radio program.
