President Trump’s efforts to ban transgenders from enlisting in the military have been thwarted by activists judges. The most recent ruling requires implementation of the Obama transgender military plan to be implemented on January 1, 2018. Is the DOD doing enough to stop this? Why did General Mattis put an Obama holdover in charge of the “panel of experts” who will be advising President Trump on the transgenders in the military policy?
On Friday President Trump made some comments that did not set well with NFL players. He called out those players who refuse to stand for the National Motto before games. His choice of words were not appropriate, but he got the NFL’s attention. During Sunday’s Steelers vs. Bears game, only one Steelers’ player came to the field to stand for the National Anthem. Is he now being pressured to explain his actions away?
In an early morning Tweet President Trump announced no transgenders would be allowed to serve in the US military. He noted the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgenders would impose on the military. The military must be focused on victory and not be distracted by allowing transgenders to serve in any capacity.
The US National Institute of Health Director, Dr. Francis Collins, is supportive of embryonic cloning and embryonic stem cell research. He has been in that position since 2009 and does not reflect the pro-life direction President Donald Trump is leading the country. He should be replaced with someone who respects life from the moment of conception.
Late yesterday President Trumps’s Department of Education and Department of Justice sent a “Dear Colleague” letter to every school district in the nation rescinding the outrageous Obama “Dear Colleague” letter that reinterpreted Title IX and was designed to force school districts to open their bathrooms, locker and shower facilities to whomever.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions has withdrawn the Obama Administration’s appeal of Judge O’Connor’s nationwide injunction forbidding the implementation of last year’s directive to schools to open the girls’ bathrooms, locker and shower facilities to boys who think they are girls and vice versa. The Human Rights Campaign has mounted an effort to intimidate the current administration to reinstate the appeal.
