AFA of PA encourages Christians, through education, to become involved in pro-family issues in their community, state and the nation. This is some of what has been going on in the Commonwealth and the nation.
Governor Tom Wolf signed an executive order to create the Pennsylvania Commission on LGBTQ Affairs. Supposedly its purpose is to help those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning or queer to gain their civil rights by creating policies and procedures that protect them from discrimination. However, the true purpose is to further normalize those lifestyles!
Planet Fitness has as “judgement-free zone” policy, however they consistently judge women who complain about men in their locker rooms by revoking their membership! On Sunday in New Hampshire they called the police on a man exercising in the nude – obviously passing judgement on him! However, if this same man had entered the women’s […]
A three-judge panel of the Third Circuit has ruled against the biological fact that there are only two sexes – male and female – and that each deserve their own private space. This decision places students in the Boyertown School District at risk from those who would take advantage of the school’s policy allowing students to use the bathroom and locker rooms that correspond to their gender identity.
In many schools April 27th is the Gay Day of Silence, a GLSEN-inspired day of action when students (and some teachers) remain silent to normalize homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism. The message is that some people are born gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender and it’s okay. The dangers of engaging in those lifestyles are never discussed, nor is the fact that thousands have left homosexuality and there is a growing “de-transitioning” movement. Is your child’s school allowing silence during instructional time on the Day of Silence?
An Indiana University of Pennsylvania senior has been thrown out of his “Christianity 481: Self, Sin, and Salvation” class because he believes there are only two sexes – male and female – and his professor does not appreciate this view! Instead she has contacted the Provost, who has in turn sent a letter of reprimand to the student demanding that he write a written apology to the professor for his “disrespectful behavior” and offer a verbal apology to the class, then sit down and listen as his fellow students and the professor express their feelings “during Lake’s disrespectful and disruptive outbursts.”
The US Department of Education has clarified that they do not nterpret the word “sex” in Title IX as including “gender identity.” They have made it clear that they will not investigate bathroom complaints from students who identity as “transgender.” Thank Secretary of Education DeVos for this clarification.
