Additional Info of Mail-in Ballot Applications

Details

Many of you have received mail-in ballot applications from the Republican National Committee.  Until October last year mail-in ballots were not legal in PA.  This was part of the massive changes to PA’s voting law.  Some changes were good, others not so good.   Absentee ballots could be and can continue to be obtained for specific reasons such as illness or work-related absence from your voting precinct on election day, however mail-in ballots are no-excuse ballots.  The new law also allows a voter to be placed on a permanent mail-in ballot list.  Again, that may be good or that may be bad.

Democrats in Washington, DC are pushing big time to make vote-by-mail available nationally in the next coronavirus relief bill.  President Trump opposes such a move because he recognizes the potential for increased voter fraud.  Of course, as mentioned in a previous alert, Democrats in Harrisburg have introduced HB 2367 and SB 1098 which would allocate $40,000,000 taxpayer dollars to send mail-in ballot applications to all registered voters, mail-in ballots and postage-paid return envelopes.

Here are some of the problems with PA’s voter registration list, which could easily be exacerbated by mail-in ballots:

  1. Hundreds of Allegheny, Montgomery and Philadelphia county voters who have voted in recent elections were over 100 years old, with many over 110.  One Montgomery County man has his birthdate listed as August 7, 1853, but he has been permitted to vote without a question.
  2. In these same three counties hundreds more “voters” are listed with birthdates of 1/1/1800!
  3. In 2010, the United States Census found only 330 “super centenarians,” that is, people 110 or older, in the entire nation. However, voter rolls in the three combined Pennsylvania counties turned up at least 176 “super centenarians” who voted in 2012, not counting the hundreds with birthdates of 1/1/1800!
  4. A report compiled by the Public Interest Legal Foundation shows thousands of convicted felons are illegally on Philadelphia’s voting rolls and that dozens of noncitizens aliens have voted in past elections.    The 2016 report states, “Election officials in Philadelphia take no proactive steps to prevent or remove alien registration,” and that of the thousands of ineligible felons on the rolls, “election officials do nothing about it and don’t even think it’s a problem.”
  5. In 2017 Philadelphia City Commissioner Al Schmidt says a glitch in the state’s “motor-voter” process has allowed non-U.S. citizens to register to vote.  Turns out this computer “glitch” dates back to the 1990’s!  In February 2018, Schmidt testified in a lawsuit initiated by The Public Interest Legal Foundation that more than 100,000 non-citizen foreign nationals were currently registered to vote in Pennsylvania.
  6. In January 2019, following a lawsuit brought by State Rep Daryl Metcalfe, it was confirmed by the PA Department of State and the Wolf administration that approximately 11,198 foreign nationals were illegally registered to vote in PA.  They were ordered to purge those names — did they??
  7. More recently on December 11, 2019 Judicial Watch sent letters to the Board of Elections of Allegheny, Bucks, Chester and Delaware counties, with copies sent to the Secretary of the Commonwealth.  The letters highlight violations of the National Voter Registration Act in not maintaining accurate and current voter lists.    Here’s the link to the letters.
  8. In January 2020 Allegheny County acknowledged that of the 957,000 registered voters in that county, 140,000 – more than 15 percent – are inactive.  Election officials have vowed to remove 69,000 inactive voters this year and the rest after the November election!

So, the Republican National Committee doesn’t seem to have a problem with mail-in ballots.  Perhaps they haven’t looked at the numbers, but most, if not all, households in PA with a Republican voter received a “Mail-in Ballot Application.”  That is, the applications are addressed to “______________ Household or Current Resident.”  If that “current resident” is an illegal alien with a valid drivers’ license now living in a Philadelphia or Pittsburgh home previously occupied by a Republican voter, what’s he or she going to do with it?  It’s already been revealed that the election officials in Philly don’t see a problem with illegal aliens voting.  Sanctuary cities embrace the idea of illegals voting!  Did the Republican National Committee just make it easier for them?  In fact Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch notes, “Mailing to inactive voters or inaccurate addresses opens elections to voter fraud.”

Action Steps

As evidenced by the above info, Pennsylvania has problems when it comes to our voter rolls.  In fact, 34 other states have the same problem!  Mail-in ballots do not decrease the possibility of voter fraud, but quite possibly increase it.  Is this one reason the Democrats are pushing them so hard?  So much depends upon the honesty and integrity of those working in the county election offices and those working in the polls on election day.  As we all know, in some counties around the country there have been more votes cast than voters registered!

NOTE:  Many of you have asked whether applying for and receiving a mail-in ballot  will prevent you from going to your polling place on June 2nd.  No, as long as you have not mailed your ballot back, you can go to your physical polling place.  If you have mailed your ballot back, to prevent someone else voting in your name, it should be noted on the voter registry book that you normally sign that a mail-in ballot in your name was returned to the county election office.  Again, look at Philadelphia’s concern about voter fraud!!  Not reassuring!

Pray for this year’s elections — that voter turnout will be great, but more importantly that voter integrity can be maintained.
