PA’s Primary Election is Less Than a Week Away!

Details

Many important races from Superior Court to your local school board will be decided next Tuesday.  In addition to the “regular” races, there will be four special elections held in certain districts on that same day:  12th Congressional District to replace Congressman Tom Marino, who resigned for health reasons; State Senate Districts 33 and 41 replacing Rich Alloway and Don White, repectively (both retired effective February 28th ); and State House District 11 to replace Brian Ellis.

The new 12th Congressional District covers all of Susquehanna, Wyoming, Sullivan, Bradford, Clinton, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Perry, Potter, Snyder, Tioga and Union counties; and parts of Centre and Northumberland counties.  If you live in Centre or Northumberland county and aren’t sure if you live in the new 12th Congressional District, click here and enter your address to find out.

Senate District 33 candidates are Sarah Hammond (D) and Douglas Mastriano (R ).  Hammond is endorsed by pro-homosexual Equality PA, Pennsylvania AFL-CIO and Pennsylvania Conference of Teamsters.  She supports the legalization and taxation of recreational marijuana and a severance tax on natural gas   Mastriano is endorsed by the PA Chamber PAC.  He says his top priority will be to tackle high property taxes; other priorities are defending life, protecting the 2nd Amendment,  school choice and rolling back government regulations. 

The 33rd Senate District covers Adams, Cumberland (part), Franklin (part)and York (part) Counties.

   Senate District 41 candidates are Susan Boser (D) and Joe Pittman (R ).   Boser is endorsed by anti-Trump Indivisible 435, National Association of Social Workers; Pennsylvania AFL-CIO;  Pennsylvania Conference of Teamsters.   Her website doesn’t say a lot, but it does note: “I am deeply committed to PROGRESS FOR ALL.” Well, we probably know what that means!  Pittman is endorsed by PA Chamber PAC (PA Chamber of Business and Industry); Pennsylvania Coal Alliance; Boilermakers Union Local Lodge 154.  His website doesn’t say much either!  However, he was the chief of staff for State Senator Don White the entire time White was in the State Senate.  Pittman told the Indiana Gazette, “My major priority will be helping to ensure the responsible growth and production of our state’s God-given natural gas and coal resources.” 

 The 41st Senate District covers Armstrong, Butler (part), Indiana and Westmoreland (part) counties.

   State House District 11 candidates are Samuel Doctor (D) and Marci Mustello (R ).  Doctor is endorsed by United Auto Workers.  He supports legalizing and taxing recreational marijuana and will fight against all attempts to pass “right to work” legislation and paycheck “protection” legislation.  He also says he will fight against gun control measures and will work to allow Sunday hunting.  Mustello is endorsed by PA Chamber PAC.  According to her website:  Marci is pro-life and believes in protecting the sanctity of life.; Marci fully supports our 2nd Amendment rights. She is not in favor of instituting a gun registry.; Marci supports reforming our property tax system to help ensure that older Pennsylvanians can afford to stay in their homes.”

The 11th House District covers part of Butler County.

These PA candidates have been endorsed by the Victory Fund, which only endorses/supports open homosexual or transgender candidates:

Cadida Affa — Allentown City Council
Exavier Garcia-Molina — Lancaster City Council
Bruce Kraus — Pittsburgh City Council
Deja Lynn Alvarez — Philadelphia City Council (if elected, would be the first “trans woman” elected in PA — meaning she’s a he)
Tiffany Palmer — Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge
Jon Panofsky – Centennial School Board in Warminster
Adrian Rivera Reyes – Philadelphia City Council
Jessica Rothchild – Scranton City Council
Lori Schreiber – Montgomery County Clerk of Courts
Jessica Semler – Etna Borough Council (Allegheny County)
Henry Sias – Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge (if elected, would be the first “trans man” to be elected a judge in the US – yes, and this means he’s really a she)
Carlton Stuart – Upper Merion Township Supervisor (King of Prussia)
Linda Vega – Allentown School Board
Lauren Vidas – Philadelphia City Council
Marisa Ziegler – Parkland School Board  (Lehigh County)

Erie County Council:  strongly pro-homosexual/transgender – based on candidates’ responses to Erie Gay News:  Kim Clear (D), Veronica Rexford (D), Freda Tepfer (D), William Driver (D); Erie City Council:  Vanessa Belen (D), Ed Brzezinski (D), Jasmine Flores (D), Christal Lepak (D), Chuck Nelson (D), Davona Pacley (D), Antonio Stapp (D), Tom Staszewski (D).
