Thank This President for Taking a Stand

Details

It is being painted as “a license to discriminate” by homosexual organizations like the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). They are very upset that 58 Christian colleges and universities have applied for Title IX wavers so they can maintain the Biblical teachings on marriage and sex. Of those 58, 35 have received exemptions, according to HRC this represents a “disturbing trend.”

A great dilemma was created for Christian schools which receive federal grants and federally-subsidized student loans when the US Supreme Court illegally redefined marriage to include same-sex couples. Additionally, the Obama Administration’s recent redefinition of “sex” in Title IX saying federal tax funding requires schools to permit students to use the facilities of their choice, not their genes, and to limit a biological girl or boy to using only the restroom and showers appropriate to their biological sex now constitutes sexual discrimination. Remember the law has NOT changed, the Obama administration is simply re-interpreting it to appease their homosexual and transgender buddies!

Title IX does allow Christian schools which receive government funds to apply for a waiver when adhering to government policies would go against their religious teachings.   HRC is not happy that these schools are taking steps to maintain their religious beliefs.   In a recent report issued by HRC they note, “we believe that religious liberty is a bedrock of our country.” However, it is very evident that they support religious liberty as long as the religious institution ignores Scripture and embraces the homosexual and transgender agendas.

Of the 58 schools listed, there is only one in Pennsylvania! Lancaster Bible College requested a waiver on June 1, 2015.   They have not yet been granted one and homosexual activists are likely to exert pressure on the school to withdraw their waiver request!
