One of the projects of the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) is “No Name Calling Week,” which will be held January 15-19 this year. It sounds good, but the promotion of homosexuality and transgenderism is woven throughout the week’s activities. GLSEN provides lesson plans and ideas for teachers to use in class. Will your child’s school or the school you pay taxes to support be participating?
Homosexual activists have been very successful in distorting the truth about the sin of engaging in homosexual acts and too many Americans are confused about the issue of homosexuality. Pure Passion Media produced a documentary several years ago and now, as a missionary effort to reach as many people as possible, has decided to make free online viewing via YouTube available. This is a great resource for pastors, ministry leaders, teachers and families. Share this with others!
Governor Wolf has done it again. This time he has nominated a man who thinks he is a women to be PA’s next Secretary of Health. How is it that a man who doesn’t know what sex he is is qualified to be in that position? In this nomination Governor Wolf is playing to his liberal base once again. Confirmation of this individual by the State Senate would send the wrong message and they need to hear from those who think it is a bad idea. Sign the petition to oppose Dr. “Rachel” Levine.
Both the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice have let down the President! They did not fight for his ban on transgenders in the military. When federal circuit courts, which have no constitutional authority to determine policy for the military, put a stay on the President’s ban, an immediate emergency appeal to the US Supreme Court should have been forthcoming. That did not happen and now the DOD is saying they are waiting until February 21st for the results of a study by a “Panel of Experts.” This panel is led by someone who has already defied the President and held an official ‘gay pride’ event at the Pentagon in June! How can we expect an unbiased report from such a panel??
President Trump’s efforts to ban transgenders from enlisting in the military have been thwarted by activists judges. The most recent ruling requires implementation of the Obama transgender military plan to be implemented on January 1, 2018. Is the DOD doing enough to stop this? Why did General Mattis put an Obama holdover in charge of the “panel of experts” who will be advising President Trump on the transgenders in the military policy?
Chairman of the House State Government Committee, Representative Daryl Metcalfe, has been under attack since December 5th because he once again asked Democratic chair Matt Bradford to not touch him. This has caused an uproar among homosexual activists with Equality PA, SEIU, the Pennsylvania Democrat Party and Governor Tom Wolf demanding his removal from the chairman’s seat. They claim this is further proof that he is a “homophobic bigot” not qualified for the chairmanship of this committee. Metcalfe did not accuse Bradford, a married father of four, of being a homosexual, but simply asked him to stop touching him.
The First Amendment of the US Constitution hangs in the balance. Will homosexual activists get their way in their demand that every American affirm their relationship or will the US Supreme Court uphold the religious freedom of Christian business owners who do not want to use their God-given talents to help celebrate something they view as sinful?
There is another opportunity to stop the use of tax dollars for so-called sex change surgeries for children. Even though this language was stripped from the House CHIP bill before final passage, another bill — HB 1933 — has been introduced and passed out of the State House Health Committee. This bill would ban the use of tax dollars for not only sex change surgeries, but ban reimbursements for puberty blockers, cross sex hormones and other drugs used in this destructive and impossible attempt to change a child’s sex, as well as pro-transgender counseling!
HB 1388 is the bill to reauthorize the Children’s Health Insurance Program or CHIP. In the Senate an amendment was added that would prohibit the use of tax dollars for so-called sex reassignment surgeries for children in the program. The bill passed in the senate by a vote of 37-13 and it is now in the House. LGBT activists are pressuring House leadership to remove the amendment from the final bill.
