CDC Debunks Myth that Homosexuals Comprise 10% of US Population – Why Does Miniscule Minority Dictate Policy?

(Harrisburg) — Since the 1950′s Kinsey Report, the homosexual population in the US has been touted at being ten percent. This misleading report was based on faulty data. According to Dr. Judith Reisman, “Eighty-seven percent of his subjects were sex addicts, homosexuals, criminals, rapists, prostitutes, pedophiles and prisoners.” Thanks to an unrelenting pro-gay media campaign, in 2011 Gallup asked people how many Americans were homosexual, most guessed 25%.  Now the truth has been exposed in a new Centers for Disease Control National Health Interview Survey which shows less than 3 percent of the US population identifies as gay, lesbian or bisexual and homosexual activists are “distressed” over the news.   With the recent release of this data, the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide organization advocating for the natural family, will continue educating lawmakers on the state and local levels about these statistics and, while acknowledging no percentage of the population should be mistreated, point out that the government should not pass laws attacking First Amendment rights of speech, conscience and religion nor embark on the great social experiment called “gay marriage” for 1.6 percent of the population.

“Homosexual activists and their allies, such as those participating in a rally in support of HB and SB 300 in Media (Delaware County) last week are dependent upon the media to perpetuate the lie that their numbers are larger than the facts indicate. They also depend upon the media to portray them as victims in need of protection, which the facts do not indicate is the case. According to a 2012 Gallup poll calculating the LGBT population, 2.7% identified as LGBT in Pennsylvania.   This percentage places the Commonwealth eighth from the bottom in LGBT population in the US. Only a small percentage of the 2.7% are actually pushing to change the PA Human Relations Act to include sexual orientation and gender identity or perception as the passage of HB or SB 300 would do,” noted Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.

Homosexual activists have been trying for years to get “sexual orientation” included in the National Health Interview Survey ,   which is the government’s premier tool for annually assessing Americans’ health and behaviors. This most recent survey was of 33,557 adults between the ages of 18 and 74 and used face-to-face interviews and some follow-up phone calls. On sexual orientation, they asked, “Which of the following best represents how you think of yourself?’’ Respondents were given the option, depending on their sex, to respond as gay or lesbian, straight, bisexual, “something else,” or “I don’t know the answer.”

“In some parts of the country the government on all levels has been very busy promoting the homosexual lifestyle, while ignoring the health risks to those involved in the lifestyle. Not only did the National Health Interview Survey show a miniscule 1.6% gay and lesbian population, but it also showed they are likelier to smoke and be heavy drinkers.   And let’s not forget that men who have sex with men accounted for 63% of new HIV infections in 2010. More disturbing is that from 2008 to 2010, new HIV infections increased 22% among young (aged 13-24) gay and bisexual men.   A study which appeared in the February, 2007 issue of the International Journal of STD & AIDS, found that ‘HIV-positive men who have sex with men are up to 90 times more likely than the general population to develop anal cancer.’ Those are only two of the health risks associated with homosexual activity! Why would anyone want to promote this lifestyle and be in agreement with the efforts to take away the freedoms of those who view this sexual activity as wrong,” Gramley questioned.
