Researchers Find That No One is Born Gay or Transgender

(Harrisburg) — Researchers Dr. Lawrence S. Mayer, an epidemiologist trained in psychiatry, and Dr. Paul R. McHugh, former chief of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital and one of the leading psychiatrists in the world, recently released their special report entitled “Sexuality and Gender – Findings from the Biological, Psychological, and Social Sciences.”   The report confirms that there is no scientific evidence that anyone is born homosexual or transgender.  The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide child advocacy organization, applauds the researchers for their diligent work,  their willingness to stand against political correctness and to stand for the protection of children.  Their study notes non-heterosexual and transgender people have higher rates of mental health problems and far more behavioral and social problems than the general population. For instance, they are far more likely to suffer from anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and violence.  The researchers also note that discrimination – as a single factor – cannot account for these increased risks suffered by those who identify as homosexual or transgender.

“For years the AFA of PA has said no one is born ‘gay.’  The entire homosexual/transgender agenda depends upon convincing people that some are born homosexual or in the wrong body.  For years homosexual activists have been feverishly trying to prove there is a ‘gay’ gene to no avail because there is none.  Now transgender activists are targeting children who go through a stage in their life when they want to act out as the opposite sex.  These activists are right there saying,  ‘See they are born in the wrong body and you need to encourage them to be their true selves.’   His concern for children is partly what drove Dr. Mayer to help in this study.  Public policy should not be based on a lie and when it comes to sexual orientation and gender identity that is exactly what has happened,” commented Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.

Regarding “sexual orientation,” the study concludes: “The understanding of sexual orientation as an innate, biologically-fixed property of human beings – the idea that people are ‘born that way’—is not supported by scientific evidence.”

Regarding “gender identity,” the study states: “The hypothesis that gender identity is an innate, fixed property of human beings that is independent of biological sex – that a person might be ‘a man trapped in a woman’s body’ or ‘a woman trapped in a man’s body,’—is not supported by scientific evidence.

Regarding health, the research reveals non-heterosexuals experience 1.5 times more anxiety and depression, 1.5 times more substance abuse, and 2.5 times the risk of suicide than heterosexuals. Suicide attempts by transgender individuals are estimated at 41 percent compared to less than five percent of the overall population.  The study shows a very small portion of the population, less than one percent, identify as transgender. It also concludes there is no evidence to suggest that children should be encouraged to become transgender if they act or speak in a way that is typical of their opposite gender and warns against any treatments or surgeries on young people who identify with the opposite gender.

“This report shows the lies that have been fed the American people over the past few years, largely at the expense of impressionable children.  A recent CDC report  proves just how much America’s youth have been negatively impacted by  the lie some are born ‘gay’ or ‘transgender.’  Those findings are simply tragic.  As usual, it is the children who are the real victims.  It is becoming increasingly evident that adults seeking to force society to embrace their deviant lifestyle are willing to use vulnerable children to attain their goal,” concluded Gramley.
