President Continues Paving Way to Redefinition of Marriage

(Harrisburg) — On Friday President Obama held a reception in honor of “LGBT Pride Month,” further pandering to his homosexual base in his bid for re-election.  At the event he reiterated his May 9th announcement that his evolution was complete and he now personally supports same-gender so-called marriage.  Attacks on natural marriage are increasing, including one attack taking place in the White House last Friday.  The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), an advocate for traditional marriage, continues to be concerned about America’s children as the framework in which they do best is disintegrating.

“At the White House event on Friday a transgender man, that means a woman who thinks she is a man, ‘proposed’ to another woman after the President gave his remarks to the group.  She said the plan to ‘propose’ to her partner at the White House had been in the works for almost a year.     Apparently she and her partner are among a select few who could know a year in advance that they’d be at the White House.  But what message does such a ‘proposal’ and the President’s actions  send to America’s children, especially in light of the recent study released by  Mark Regnerus?”  asked Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.

She was referring to the study by University of Texas sociology professor Mark Regnerus published in the July 2012 issue of Social Science Research.    It looked at the lives of nearly 3,000 randomly selected young adults on 40 measures of social, emotional and relationship outcomes.  According to a Washington Times article, “He found that, when compared with adults raised in married, mother-father families, adults raised by lesbian mothers had negative outcomes in 24 of 40 categories, while adults raised by gay fathers had negative outcomes in 19 categories.”

The future “groom” in the white House proposal incident is legally recognized as a man so their “marriage” will be viewed as a heterosexual marriage even though the DNA of both indicate females.  States which allow for this type charade involving those with gender identity disorder further advance the wants of adults over the needs of children.

“America’s future is her children and the actions of too many adults in America are confusing to her children.  Researchers have consistently found children do best with their married biological mother and father.  Beginning in the 60’s with ‘free love’ and the sexual revolution the importance of marriage has been downgraded.  The problems have escalated with an increased divorce rate and now the attempt by homosexual and transgender activists to redefine marriage.  Children will be the victims of this display of absurdity coming out of the White House on Friday as well as the President’s lack of defending real marriage between a man and a woman,” concluded Gramley.
