Backpage.com is DOWN thanks to a raid by the FBI. Remember they were the only website that did not respond with HR 1865-FOSTA/SESTA was overwhelmingly passed by Congress recently. Backpage continued in the human trafficking business until tonight when they were stopped by federal agents from the US Department of Justice!
Both the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice have let down the President! They did not fight for his ban on transgenders in the military. When federal circuit courts, which have no constitutional authority to determine policy for the military, put a stay on the President’s ban, an immediate emergency appeal to the US Supreme Court should have been forthcoming. That did not happen and now the DOD is saying they are waiting until February 21st for the results of a study by a “Panel of Experts.” This panel is led by someone who has already defied the President and held an official ‘gay pride’ event at the Pentagon in June! How can we expect an unbiased report from such a panel??
There are more troubling stories from 2016 and even as I sat down to write this with the intention of only including two I quickly remembered a couple others. If I sat even longer I could easily think of others, but we’ll stop at four!
As we enter 2017, Americans must ask themselves these questions:
a.) Why is corporate America taking the wrong side in the culture war and how corporations can weld enough power to force states into submission in order to further their leftist views.
b.) When the congressional record is clear as to the original intent of a law, how can the Department of Justice and Department of Education completely reinterpret the law and threaten schools with withholding federal funds if they don’t adhere to this new interpretation? Since when was a “sex assigned at birth”?
A statewide child advocacy group applauds the decision by Texas federal Judge Reed O’Connor to deny the Obama Administration’s request to issue a partial stay on the nationwide injunction he issued in August. Judge O’Connor noted the Departments of Justice and Education “failed to demonstrate a likelihood of success or irreparable harm sufficient to justify a partial stay of the Court’s preliminary injunction.”
Let’s face it, except in extremely rare cases everyone is born with either male or female genitalia. For a man to think he is a woman or vice versa was considered a mental disorder — until homosexual activists took over the American Psychological Association (APA) in the early 1970’s and even then gender identity disorder was listed as a mental disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM). In 2013 all that changed when DSM V removed ‘gender identity disorder’ and replaced it with ‘gender dysphoria’ saying “Replacing “disorder” with “dysphoria” in the diagnostic label is not only more appropriate and consistent with familiar clinical sexology terminology, it also removes the connotation that the patient is “disordered.” Okay . . . so the APA no longer views men who think they are women and vice versa as having a mental disorder – they were simply born that way and we have to celebrate them for “being true to themselves”!
It is increasingly apparent that the Obama Administration wants unrestricted access to the voting booth for all who want to vote – legally or not! In this most recent case the Department of Justice joined challenges to voting laws in Wisconsin and Ohio. Wisconsin passed a law that required showing photo ID in order to vote and in Ohio a new law reduced early voting and eliminated Golden Week, a five- or six-day period when Ohioans could both register to vote and cast a ballot. Obama’s Justice Department does not like any of these laws.
Saturday’s announcement by US Attorney General Eric Holder regarding same-sex so-called marriage further illustrates the Obama Administration’s attack on natural marriage and the effort to redefine that institution in all 50 states. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocate for natural one man one woman marriage, is appalled that the executive branch of the federal government continues to try to impose its views on those states which define marriage the way it has been defined since the founding of this nation.
The Romeike family is a German homeschooling family which moved to the United States in August 2008 seeking freedom to homeschool their children. It has been illegal to homeschool in Germany since Hitler’s time. When they left Germany, the parents were facing hefty fines and the government threat of a lien on their home simply because they wanted to homeschool. In January 2010 a federal immigration judge granted the Romeike’s asylum, however in May 2012 the Obama Administration revoked the asylum seeking to deport the family.
Today, surrounded by children who had written letters to him following the tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, President Obama announced his strategy to protect children from such attacks in the future. He said, it’s all about the children — “This is our first task as a society, keeping our children safe. . . . (It is) our responsibility to care for them and shield them from harm and give them the tools they need to grow up . . . .” The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide pro-family group, agrees with President Obama that adults should care for and shield children from harm as well as give them the tools they need as they grow to adulthood; however, the AFA of PA questions the President’s sincerity.
1.) How did your Congressman vote on taxpayer dollars for abortion? 2.) Eric Holder said what!
