July 4th – the 242nd anniversary of our declaring independence from Great Britain! The fighting had already begun, but this document officially declared our independence and enumerated the reasons why the colonies were justified in seeking independence from an overbearing monarch.
The last week of April, leading up to the Gay Day of Silence, students at Emmaus High School in the East Penn School District located near Allentown, PA were subjected to pro-homosexual and pro-transgender videos without parents’ knowledge. The school district has refused to release the URL’s of those videos to concerned parents. Diane Gramley, president of the American Family Association of Pennsylvania, attended both June school board meetings to advocate for the parents’ right to gain access to the URLs in order to know what their children viewed.
Diane Gramley, President of the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), will take part in a press event in front of the US Supreme Court Building in Washington, DC today. The purpose of the event is to focus a light on the harm that has been done to the nation in the three years since the highest court in the land unconstitutionally legalized so-called same-sex marriage through judicial fiat.
Open homosexual State Rep Brian Sims decided to display his hatred for Vice President Mike Pence earlier this week while the VP was campaigning in the City of Philadelphia. No surprising, Sims especially disagrees with Pence’s positions on marriage and family!
Illegal immigration is a major problem in the US. The United States is a nation of immigrants, but we have laws in place to regulate and set limits on immigration. Those laws have been ignored for decades and the problems have only gotten worse. The US House is set to vote on the recently introduced Border Security and Immigration Reform Act of 2018 (HR 6136) later this week. This is a compromise bill supported by House Speaker Paul Ryan and does not address many issues that would end the illegal immigration problems!
HB 2050 would make abortions simply based on a Downs Syndrome diagnosis of the unborn illegal in PA. Pro-abortion Governor Tom Wolf has pledged to veto the bill if it reaches his desk. Planned Parenthood and other pro-death groups are lobbying hard to make sure the bill goes down in flames. It has already passed in the State House and now State Senators need to hear from those who value life from the moment of conception.
On December 14, 2017 the FCC voted to repeal the Obama era net neutrality rules which stifled the internet. As now FCC chairman Ajit Pai noted back in 2015 in voicing his opposition to the rules changes, ““This is not only a radical departure from the bipartisan, market-oriented policies that have served us so well for the last two decades.” He further noted the FCC was flip-flopping on rules they had just put in places months earlier simply because President Obama wanted net neutrality enacted.
With the announced renewal of yet another season of 13 Reasons Why, Netflix continues showing it has no concern for teen suicide. This show has been directly linked to teen suicides, yet Netflix turns a blind eye. Diane Gramley, president of the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) recently issued the following statement, just prior to the announcement of a third season of 13 Reasons Why, concerning Netflix’ irresponsible actions:
Today the US Supreme Court handed down the right decision in protecting the First Amendment rights of Colorado baker Jack Phillips. In a 7-2 decision the US Supreme Court ruled that the Colorado Civil Rights Commission had displayed anti-Christian bias towards Jack Phillips in their dealings with him in the complaint filed by two homosexual men when Phillips refused to bake a custom cake for their same-sex “wedding.”
In December the US Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the Masterpiece Cakeshop Ltd. v. Colorado Anti-Discrimination Commission case which pits a baker’s religious freedom against Colorado’s addition of “sexual orientation” to its anti-discrimination laws. The outcome of this case has ramifications for every Christian business owner in America. Homosexual activists are hoping for a win during this their ‘gay pride’ month. Pray daily for the nine Justice on the US Supreme Court – that they would simply interpret the Constitution and not rewrite it.
