Homosexual activists will be visiting State Reps and State Senators in their district offices this summer to place pressure on them to move the homosexual special rights bills forward for a vote this fall. That’s when the real pressure to get something passed will begin! Have you contacted your legislator recently?
There have been temporary victories in both the State House and State Senate in regards to HB 1510 and SB 974/SB 1306/SB 1307. No action was taken on the Discharge Resolution nor were any committee votes held this week!
A handful of Pennsylvania mayors have announced their support for the Bathroom Bills — HB 1510 and SB 974. They are mostly from the Philadelphia area, with a smattering of others from around PA. Is your mayor one of them?
Yesterday a discharge petition was filed to remove HB 1510 – the Bathroom Bill — from the House State Government Committee. This is an attempt to work around the legislative process and force the bill directly to the floor of the House without committee hearings, etc.! PA homosexual activists, helped by the well-funded DC-based Human Rights Campaign, are working feverishly to get this bill on Governor Wolf’s desk.
“The issue of advancing the homosexual agenda, and now the transgender agenda, has very much become a Democrat vs. Republican issue with the Democrats whole-heartedly working to remake our societal structure. Several Republicans have already dropped their sponsorship of these dangerous bills in recent weeks. We applaud those and hope the remaining Republicans can see the danger also.”
AFA of PA ACTION ALERT May 23, 2016 Issues 1.) State Representative Jamie Santora is Removing His Sponsorship of HB 1510! 2.) Update on State Senator Mario Scavello Details 1.) Many of you contacted Representative Jamie Santora (R-163- part of Delaware County) about his co-sponsorship of HB 1510 and the fact that he had signed […]
Those advocating for the passage of these two bills are misleading Pennsylvanians! They are addressing a largely non-existent problem. Supposedly the bills will help the PA economy! Perhaps that would be better helped by becoming a more business friendly state!
Ninety-seven members of the PA House have sent a letter to President Obama demanding that he rescind the unlawful bathroom edict from last Friday. However, three of the signers are also co-sponsors of HB 1510 which would open every bathroom door in the Commonwealth to whomever!
Too many do not understand what passage of these two dangerous bills — HB 1510 and SB 974 — would mean to Pennsylvania. Supporters say passage of these bills are necessary in order to prevent discrimination against homosexuals, bisexuals and transgenders, as mentioned above (discrimination that they have not proved exists), and also to create a climate in PA that will bring an economic boom . A more business-friendly environment would go a long way toward an economic boom in PA, rather than forcing businesses to allow men in the women’s restroom ! The Tax Foundation lists Pennsylvania as having the second highest corporate income tax rate — 9.99% — in the nation!
Remember last year here in PA two Christian-owned businesses made headlines when they turned away homosexuals who wanted to get “married”? The Inne at the Abingtons in Lackawanna County turned away a lesbian couple who wanted to hold their “wedding” reception there. W.W. Bridal Boutique in Bloomsburg (Columbia County) also turned away a lesbian couple who wanted the owner to make their wedding gowns. If HB 1510 and SB 974 had been law, these Christian business owners would have been found guilty of discrimination, fined and forced to go against their deeply held religious beliefs or shut down their business. That’s where we are here in PA!
