Action Alert – Governor Shapiro Tells Senate to Pass Dangerous Bill

The PA Human Relations Act covers employment, housing and public accommodation. The Democrats are trying to get HB 300 passed which would add “sexual orientation and gender identity or expression” to the law. This would open women’s private spaces to men who identify as women and would force Christian owned businesses to hire homosexuals and transgenders. In the case of a Christian owned bakery, videographer, wedding shop or even a venue that rents for wedding receptions or weddings, they would be forced to go against their strongly held religious beliefs that marriage is only between one man and one woman.

Action Alert – Discriminatory Bills Reintroduced

Last week liberals in Harrisburg reintroduced the language of HB and SB 300 with new numbers — HB 1510 and SB 974, respectively, and a new name — the Pennsylvania Fairness Act. Remember these would add sexual orientation and gender identity or expression to the PA Human Relations Act impacting employment, housing and public accommodations. News Release – Inne at the Abingtons Wins in Lawsuit

In July the Inne at the Abingtons did not permit the booking of a same-sex so-called wedding at their facility citing the owners religious beliefs as the reason. A social media firestorm ensued, leading to one heterosexual couple cancelling their event and demanding a refund of the non-refundable deposit and further demanding three times that amount for ‘damages.’ The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocate for religious liberty, asserted at the time that the resulting lawsuit was the true reason for the push for passage of SB and HB 300, which would add “sexual orientation and gender identity or expression” to the PA Human Relations Act.

Blog: Homosexual Activists Push Radical Agenda

“Anti-discrimination” has a nice ring to it, but this type legislation actually discriminates against those with deeply held religious beliefs that homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism are wrong. They also discriminate against those business owners with common sense who know allowing men who think they are women to use the women’s restroom is not a good business decision — just ask the Portland, Oregon bar owner who was fined $400,000
