AFA of PA encourages Christians, through education, to become involved in pro-family issues in their community, state and the nation. This is some of what has been going on in the Commonwealth and the nation.
Too many times we forget to thank our elected officials who do the right thing! Representative Daryl Metcalfe led the effort to send the letter to President Obama asking him to rescind his unlawful and dangerous bathroom edict to all schools in the nation.
Ninety-seven members of the PA House have sent a letter to President Obama demanding that he rescind the unlawful bathroom edict from last Friday. However, three of the signers are also co-sponsors of HB 1510 which would open every bathroom door in the Commonwealth to whomever!
Ninety-seven members of the PA State House have signed a letter to President Obama expressing outrage over his misguided and illegal edict to every school district in America demanding they open the girls’ bathroom, locker and shower rooms to boys who think they are girls and vice versa. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide child advocacy group, applauds the legislators’ efforts in trying to protect the school children in this Commonwealth.
Today the Obama Administration will send a letter to every school district in America telling them to open their bathroom, locker and shower room doors to boys who think they are girls and vice versa. This insane and dangerous directive is strongly opposed by the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide child advocacy organization.
While we applauded Senator Pat Toomey’s statements saying the next President should nominate the US Supreme Court Justice to replace recently deceased Justice Antonin Scalia, we cannot support his insistence that two more of Obama’s nomineess be advanced for Pennsylvania’s Western and Eastern Districts!
Additionally, if the Obama administration really wanted to help as many people as possible while keeping American safe, they should use a wiser strategy! The Center for Immigration Studies reports that for the money spent to resettle one refugee in America, we could be helping twelve refugees abroad. So . . . just what is the purpose of flooding the US with Syrian refugees?
President Obama has nominated another activist judge, Dale Drozd, to be a District Judge for the Eastern District of California. As the Constitution states, this nomination must be confirmed by the US Senate.
Last night President Obama announced executive action on immigration. I’m sure the timing — the week before Thanksgiving — was not intentional! Many Congressmen have already returned to their home districts for Thanksgiving.
Here’s some of what he intends:
Last week Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper supported religious organizations who contract with the federal government from being forced to hire homosexuals and transgenders. In light of the US Supreme Court decision upholding Hobby Lobby’s religious freedom, she has joined the many others who have now changed sides on the issue and wants her name removed from a letter sent last week to President Obama. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide religious freedom group, has emailed Ms. Dahlkemper expressing their disappointment in her decision.
