STATEWIDE ORGANIZATION JOINS "PROJECT HOPE" - HOPE FOR
HOMOSEXUALS.COM
(Pittsburgh) - A Pennsylvania traditional values group has announced its
partnership with the Virginia-based Family Policy Network in its efforts
to
turn "Gay Days" into "Hope Days." "Our
efforts are to confront Gay Day or
Pridefest attendees with the truth that Jesus Christ can set them free
from
the sin of homosexuality," director of the American Family
Association of
Pennsylvania, Diane Gramley said today. "We will be working
with the Family
Policy Network to fly over the Pittsburgh Pridefest this Saturday with
the
message of hope," continued Gramley.
This year's theme of Pridefest is 'Peace through Pride,' but there is
only
one source of peace and that is Jesus Christ. The message of hope
delivered
on the banner behind the plane on Saturday goes hand in hand with peace.
Jesus gives peace that passes all understanding when we accept Him -
there
is no other source.
This campaign is an outreach with a message of hope for those caught in
the
destructive sin of homosexuality, but the message is true for all
sinners -
hope through Jesus Christ. True compassion requires us to be honest
about the destructive nature of sin. The goal of "Project
Hope Days" is to tell others about God's offer of reconciliation
through repentance and faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
"Here in Pennsylvania we are pleased to partner with the Family
Policy
Network in their national effort to bring the message of peace and hope
to
homosexuals and all sinners," Gramley concluded.
