Click here to read the story. 4.11.07 -- Senate Passes S 5, Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act, by a 63-34 vote which is not a wide enough margin to override a promised presidential veto. Click to read article. 1.11.07 -- HR 3 -- Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act -- expansion of embryonic stem cell research -- passes the U.S. House by a vote of 253-174. Only 5 out of 19 Congressmen representing Pennsylvania get it right! Click here for the roll call vote. President Bush has promised to veto the bill, if it reaches his desk. The Democrats only picked up 15 additional votes since the November election . . . well short of the 290 that they would need to override President Bush's veto.
