August 1, 2003 -- United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania chooses to discriminate against the Boy Scouts because the Scouts want to protect young boys and men put under their protection. They plan to withhold half of grants totaling more than $418,000 from the Cradle of Liberty and Chester County Scout Councils because these local chapters adhere to the National BSA's position on not permitting open homosexuals to serve as Scout leaders. News Release July 31, 2003 -- Governor Rendell, by executive order, adds "gender identity" to state agencies' non-discrimination policies. Addition of such terminology is so radical that openly homosexual Congressman Barney Frank does not support such language. News Release July 29, 3003 -- On May 20, 2003 67.3% of voters in West Salem Township, Mercer County said loud and clear that they do not want bottle clubs in their township. The law went into effect on July 26. Now the Mercer County DA says enforcement of this law is not a high priority issue for him and the township solicitor says the citizens who want a better community have made matters worse!! News Release July 19, 2003 -- By a vote of 120-81 the PA House votes for a major expansion of gambling. Their version of the bill will allow up to 11 slot machine casinos in the state -- nine at horse racetracks and two non-track locations, one each in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh region. Gambling expansion will be devastating to Pennsylvania families. News Release May 20 -- Congratulations to West Salem Township, Mercer County voters for passing a Bottle Club Referendum by a vote of 424 'Yes' (67.3%) to 206 'No' votes and to Dalton Borough, Lackawanna County for passing a similar referendum question by a resounding 174 'Yes' to 20 'No' votes!! Both municipalities have taken a giant step forward in protecting their communities from sexually oriented businesses! Thirty days from certification of the vote, no bottle clubs can operate in either municipality. How about your community, is it protected from sexually oriented businesses?? Attending the comic book convention were Playboy Playmates with their albums of nude and semi-nude photos. Playboy magazines, some not shrink wrapped, were easily accessible to children. Many times children are the victims of pornography. Why would Make-a-Wish want such close ties to an event that brings pornography into the community? two-year period said they'd been physically abused by an "intimate
partner." Thirty-four
percent said they' been psychologically abused by sex partners and five
percent said they've been forced to have sex."
