Constitutional Amendment – Male and Female Only

Details State Representative Stephanie Borowicz (R-76) is “proposing a constitutional amendment enshrining a proper recognition of the male and female sexes in our Constitution.” HB 1745 “will clarify that Pennsylvania’s Constitution recognizes only the sexes of male and female as determined by biological sex at birth.”     

Remember a constitutional amendment must pass the State House and State Senate with the exact language in two consecutive legislative sessions before the voters get to vote on the proposed amendment.  The governor plays no role in the process!
