What the Hateful Rhetoric from the Left Has Brought Us

As you have probably heard, a little over two hours ago there was an attempt on former President Trump’s life in Butler, PA. Reports are that he is fine; the shooter (reportedly a Chinese national) is dead, as apparently a rally goer behind the President has also died.
Immediately after the shooting, President Trump’s message was a fist pump to the crowd and “Fight, Fight, Fight”. The crowd’s response was a chant of “USA, USA, USA”.
Since President Trump’s announcement that he was running for re-election, the Left has tried to take him down through lawfare, false accusations, attempts to bankrupt him, etc. All in an attempt to turn the country against him, they have compared him to Hitler, a fascist, said he is a “threat to democracy”, said he attempted to “overturn the most safe and secure election ever”, led an insurrection to overthrow the government, etc. What did the Left expect from their hateful rhetoric, but that such an attempt would be made on the life of their political opponent?
According to The Federalist: Only a few days before the apparent shooting, President Joe Biden said, during a private call with donors, “I have one job, and that’s to beat Donald Trump. I’m absolutely certain I’m the best person to be able to do that. So, we’re done talking about the debate, it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.”
It is reported by Newsmax that the Trump campaign has requested additional Secret Service protection, but has been turned down by Homeland Security.
Action Steps
After this evening’s assault in Butler, we are seeing the full impact of the Left’s rhetoric. We are seeing the great divide in this country. The Left used to say ‘words are violence’ when a conservative said something they did not agree with. Where’s the Left’s response to all the hateful words coming out of their mouths??
It is time to fight for our country, as President Trump responded after the shooting. As Dr. Douglas Frank said last night at a gathering I attended, “This is a First Amendment fight to avoid a Second Amendment fight.” Let’s pray we have not gone beyond the First Amendment fight!
