Drag Queen Hour at the Lansdale and Exeter Libraries

Details

Drag Queen Story Hours are being presented during story times at local libraries to specifically target 3-8 year-old children.  Those coming up next are in Lansdale (Montgomery County) this Saturday, February 2nd from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and in Exeter (Berks County)  next Saturday, February 9th from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The drag queens understand this is indoctrination:

  • “DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.”
  • “In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.”
  • One of the DQSH leaders acknowledged, “Yes absolutely we are grooming children.”

Drag Queen “Annie Christ” will be at the Lansdale Public Library on the 2nd.   Watch the video to get an idea as to who will be reading stories to children there on Saturday!

To get another idea of who “Annie Christ” is check out his Facebook page.

On February 9th Drag Queen “Miss Aimee” will be at the Exeter Community Library to read books to the kids.  In January he was also at the Wyomissing and Sinking Spring Libraries in Berks County.

Drag Queen Story Hours may not be at your local library yet, but there’s a good chance one is on its way.  The American Library Association thinks it’s a great idea!
