Susquehanna Art Museum Targets Children With “Family Drag Show”
(Harrisburg) – The Susquehanna Art Museum, Pennsylvania’s capital city’s only dedicated art museum, claims in its vision statement “to offer educationally superior programming and diversely extraordinary exhibitions.” The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide child advocacy organization, is trying to ascertain how a “Family Drag Show” fits into that vision statement and has contacted the museum about the upcoming drag show.
The AFA of PA has sent the following email:
It is appalling that the Susquehanna Art Museum will host a “Family Drag Show” this evening. The performers, the Sundae Best Variety Show, promote the event as follows on their Facebook page: “Are you a baby drag thing waiting in the wings? Looking for an opportunity to try out a new persona or routine? We’ve got an upcoming Family Drag Show and Celebration with Sundae Best Variety Show and we still have a few slots open for student performers!”
This is disgusting! Going from reading pro-LGBTQ+ stories to children in the local library to teaching them how to perform in drag. Teaching them that it’s perfectly normal for a man to wear a dress and identify as a woman. Teaching children that they may have been born in the wrong body — they get to choose who they really are based upon how they feel. This is all part of an effort to confuse and indoctrinate kids. In the words of a Louisiana drag queen, “This is going to be the grooming of the next generation.” This is preying upon impressionable children!
To do what is best for children, this event should not go on this evening!!

“There is no question that this is an attempt to impose an agenda on impressionable children. The very words of drag queens reveal their goal – to convince children it is perfectly okay to question their biological sex and to identify as the opposite sex. Children should be protected from such propaganda and an art museum should not be promoting drag queens nor allowing them to teach children how to perform in drag. The original $5 million state grant should never have been awarded. Taxpayers should have no part in helping promote this child abuse,” commented Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
