Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg’s Actions Continue Pointing to Need for Recusal
(Harrisburg) — With a pending case before the United States Supreme Court which will address whether same-sex “marriage” is protected under the US Constitution, one Justice in particular continues sending out a message to the American public that she has already decided which side of the issue she is on. Yesterday Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg officiated at yet another same-sex “marriage” ceremony in Washington, DC. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocate for natural marriage, again calls, at a minimum, for Ruth Bader Ginsburg to recuse herself from the marriage case pending before the Court.
“Justice Ginsburg has been sending a message to the citizens of the United States since her February interview with Bloomberg that her mind is made up on this issue. How can we trust the decision of a Justice who refuses to show impartiality in this case? Why did she even sit in to listen to oral arguments on April 28th in the Obergefell v. Hodges case? Question anyone in the United States who is following this case and 99.9 percent would agree that Ginsburg has made her decision,” commented Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
The United States Constitution, which Ginsburg and homosexuals hope to use to legalize so-called same-sex marriage, specifically states that Supreme Court Justices and other federal judges “shall hold their Offices during good behavior.” Is showing partiality in a case good behavior or cause for removal from the bench?
As Gramley said during an April 27th news conference outside the Supreme Court building, ” . . . if Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg had any integrity, they would recuse themselves from the case. The actions and statements of these two have made it very clear that they cannot be impartial, thus their refusal to sit out this case taints the entire Court and any decision they make on the issue of marriage will prove this Court has lost its relevance and the confidence of the American people.”
