Governor Corbett Should Just Tell it Like it Is!
(Harrisburg) — Last week Governor Tom Corbett gave another example of illegal marriage in Pennsylvania — that between a brother and sister. His facts are correct as are those included in the legal brief of the Counsel General filed in the Montgomery County Register of Wills’ case. However those comments were deemed “inappropriate” by Governor Corbett. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania’s (AFA of PA) advice to Governor Corbett: tell it like it is and don’t sway from the moral aspect of this issue.
“The secular media, largely allies of homosexual activists, will continue to try to paint all those who support natural one man one woman marriage as hateful bigots. If you say anything that opposes their quest for the legalization of their partnerships, you will be attacked. Since the early days of the Commonwealth, engaging in homosexual acts was recognized as detrimental and not what is best for society,” commented Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
History outlines previous laws in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: “That if any person or persons shall commit sodomy . . . he or they so offending or committing any of the said crimes within this province, their counsellors, aiders, comforters, and abettors, being convicted thereof as above said, shall suffer as felons. [And] shall forfeit to the Commonwealth all and singular the lands and tenements, goods and chattels, whereof he or she was seized or possessed at the time . . . at the discretion of the court passing the sentence, not exceeding ten years, in the public gaol or house of correction of the county or city in which the offence shall have been committed and be kept at such labor.”
“The AFA of PA does not advocate returning to those days, but we need to recognize the inherent danger of validating the homosexual lifestyle. We also need to recognize, as previous generations did, that engaging in homosexual acts is a sin against nature and against nature’s God. Future generations will pay the price if we forget this truth,” further commented Gramley.
Homosexualities: A Study of Diversity among Men and Women: Researchers found that 43% percent of white male homosexuals had sex with 500 or more partners, and 28% had 1,000 or more partners
The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association: “Gay men use substances at a higher rate than the general population. Also, “gay men have higher rates of alcohol dependence and abuse than straight men.
The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association: “Illicit drugs may be used more often among lesbians than heterosexual women,” and alcohol “use and abuse may be higher among lesbians.”
Journal of Human Sexuality: “No other group of comparable size in society experiences such intense and widespread pathology.”
From the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention, Centers for Disease Control Report issued on September 27, 2013: “Gay and bisexual men of all races and ethnicities are still at the center of the HIV epidemic in the United States. Just 2% of the U.S. population, they accounted for 63% of all new HIV infections in 2010 and 52% of people living with HIV infection in the United States in 2009. From 2008 to 2010, the estimated number of new HIV infections rose 12% among MSM overall and 22% among young MSM (aged 13 to 24 years); black MSM accounted for more than half of infections among young MSM in 2010. In fact, young black MSM now account for more new infections than any other subgroup by race/ethnicity, age, or sex.”
