Dangerous Bill Scheduled to be Voted on This Evening!

Its title is one of the most misleading I’ve ever read! “For the People Act of 2019” is the Democrats “answer” to “repressive” election laws set down by states. The Democrats consistently say that minorities are disenfranchised and steps need to be taken to make it easier for all Americans to participate in the election process. However, HR 1 is a sure-fired way to increase voter fraud!
Here are some of the disturbing components pointed out by the Conservative Action Project:
- Forces states to implement mandatory voter registration
- Mandates that states allow all felons to vote.
- Forces states to extend periods of early voting
- Mandates same-day voter registration
- Bars states from making their own laws about voting by mail.
- Mandates free mailing of absentee ballots.
- Stops state legislatures from drawing up their own congressional districts and would mandate independent commissions in their place
The “For the People Act” is supposed to “expand Americans’ access to the ballot box,” but this expansion is too wide and too dangerous for our representative republic!
Action Steps
Contact your US House member and ask him or her to vote ‘no’ on HR 1.
