Details
On March 10th the House Judiciary Committee voted- along party lines – to advance eight pro-LGBTQ bills:
HB 300 – misnamed the “Fairness Act” would add “actual sexual orientation, gender identity or expression” to the PA Human Relations Act. This is all the proof we need that that language is NOT currently law as too many school board solicitors claim! Problems include sports, bathrooms, Christian schools, adoption and foster care agencies. Click here for more details.
HB 1800 – the “Marriage Equality Act” – currently PA law states marriage is only between a man and a woman. This would remove that language from the law.
HB 632 – “Decriminalizing HIV in PA” Is HIV illegal in PA???
HB 1311 – “Prohibiting the LGBTQ+ Panic Defense”
HB 1315 – “Reforming Name Change Procedures” – making it easier for those who identify as transgender to change their names on birth certificates, etc.

HB 1905 – Anti- Hate Crime Packet
There’s also HB 393 designating February 28, 2026 as “HIV is Not a Crime Awareness Day“.
Action Steps:
HB 300 and HB 1800 are scheduled for a vote in the State House. Contact your State Rep by clicking here and ask him or her to vote against HB 300 and HB 1800. At this point Democrats Jenn Mazzacco (D-Allegheny) and Ana Tiburrcio (D-Lehigh) do not have email addresses, so if one of these is your State Rep, you’ll need to call. Rep.
