The Trashing of Philadelphia
On Sunday June 10th Philadelphia was trashed and our Founding Fathers were insulted; did anyone notice? The Philadelphia “Gay Pride” Parade and Festival were held on Sunday. The parade route carried it along Market Street in front of Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell Pavilion. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) is appalled that such an activity insulting our Founding Fathers could be allowed to take place there.
“I was embarrassed for the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for providing such a public confirmation of homosexual perversion to take place before the eyes of tourists standing in line trying to get in to see the Liberty Bell as well as the other ones passing by on their way down Market Street,” commented Diane Gramley who witnessed the entire event.
Those who identify as homosexuals gathered for the parade in front of Independence Hall proudly waving rainbow flags. Liberty City Democratic Club marched in the parade with their LGBT for Obama banner and signs.
“I found it very symbolic that the monument with the First Amendment would be littered with trash after the parade. Also, very symbolic was the LGBT for Obama sign that was left there as we see our religious freedoms under the First Amendment being trashed by the actions of this administration. Our Founding Fathers were rolling over in their graves on Sunday as an activity which used to be illegal in all 13 colonies, including William Penn’s Pennsylvania, was proudly marched down the streets,” Gramley further stated.
The Philadelphia Gay Pride Parade and Festival represented a very small fraction of the population of the City of Philadelphia, yet they wield tremendous political power in that city. Is this a reflection on the Mayor and City Council who apparently do not care that their city’s reputation with the majority of Pennsylvanians, Americans and the world is greatly tarnished by them catering to the homosexual activists’ demands?
“The residents of the City of Philadelphia should have been embarrassed and infuriated by what took place on Sunday, but too many simply went about their daily activities oblivious to what happened in front of Independence Hall. Unfortunately, this is also a reflection on the rest of the country as we see less than two percent of the population try to change our society, change the definition of marriage and brainwash us into thinking their lifestyle choice is safe and normal,” concluded Gramley.
