The National Center on Sexual Exploitation is holding a Symposium at the US Capitol on July 14th from 1:30 to 3:30 in the US Capitol Visitor Center SVC 209-08. The main goal of the “Pornography: A Public Health Crisis” symposium is to educate elected officials, the media and the public on the connections between all forms of exploitation. It will focus on how pornography is a major driver of demand for sex trafficking, child exploitation and sexual violence. There will be many speakers in the fields of brain science, the crisis of sexual violence, and sexual trauma, as well as the father of kidnap victim Elizabeth Smart .
