Confirmation Vote in PA Senate on Pedro Cortes for Secretary of State
Details
This week a vote on the confirmation of Pedro Cortes for PA Secretary of State is anticipated.
On April 17th forty-nine PA Senate and House members of the Pro-Life Caucus wrote Governor Wolf expressing “serious concerns” with the Cortes’ nomination to be PA’s next Secretary of State. They outline their concerns re Gosnell’s House of Horrors and the findings of the grand jury report concerning the dereliction of duty within the Department of State under Cortes’ previous stint as Secretary of that department under Governor Ed Rendell. Wolf immediately fired back that he stood by his nomination.
