Online Absentee Ballot Applications Now Available
Details
Yes, we’re talking elections again! Yesterday was the first day registered voters could apply for an absentee ballot for the November 5th election. EVERY election is important and this November we’ll be voting for judges, county commissioners, row officers, city council, school boards and much more.
However, this is the first year that all domestic Pennsylvania voters will have access to online absentee ballot applications. When an applicant completes the online form, the information is forwarded directly to the appropriate county elections office for processing. The applicant will then be provided with a ballot that must be completed and either mailed or hand-delivered to the appropriate county election office by the deadline, which is 5 p.m. on the Friday before the election, or November 1 this year. Next year, overseas and military voters will have this process available also.
Remember absentee ballots can be cast by voters who are in the military, ill or disabled, PA students who are attending out-of-state colleges, those who are out of their voting district because of work or vacation and some other reasons.
Action Steps
