Father’s Day was Philly’s “Gay Pride Parade and Festival.”  In addition to the usual bars, beer companies, casinos, homosexual newspapers, some of the sponsors of Sunday’s “gay pride” events included the following:  Barclays, Campbell’s, Capital One, Chase JB Morgan, Comcast/NBC, Discover Financial Services, Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robbins, Hilton Garden Inn,  More Than Just Ice Cream, , Nissan,  PECO, Penn Medicine, PNC Bank,  Prudential Financial,  TD Bank, T-Mobile, Visit Philadelphia, Walgreens,  Zip Bar.

Participating Organizations included AARP, Anti-Defamation League, Children’s Home of York, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Clean Air Council, Delta Airlines PHL, Drexel University, Einstein Health Care Network,  GE Water & Process Technologies,  Giant Food Stores, Human Rights Campaign (largest homosexual lobby group in the nation), Independence Blue Cross, Inspire Energy, Johnson & Johnson, Kensington Hospital, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants,  Lasik Plus, Lutheran Settlement House, Methacton School District GSA, Nationwide Insurance, New York Life Insurance Company, Peace Corps, Penn Medicine, Penske Truck Leasing, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, Philadelphia Department of Public Health STD, Philadelphia Falcons Soccer Club, Philadelphia Fire Recruitment Unit, Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Police Recruitment, Planned Parenthood of SE PA, Pro-Choice America, Reconciling United Methodists of Eastern PA, REI Co-op, Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey,  Starbucks, St. Clements Church,  Tabernacle United Church, Thomas Jefferson University, Urban Outfitters, University of Pennsylvania Clinical Trail Unit (Note:  This is probably University of Pennsylvania Clinical Trial Unit, but we listed it as it appeared on the Philly gay pride website), Univision Communications, Zero Fossil/Green Mountain Energy.

Action Steps

It is apparent that those listed above don’t share our values.   As Christians we need to be more careful where we spend our money.   If there is a company listed above that, in the past, you’ve purchased their products  or done business with, perhaps you might consider not doing so in the future.
