Effort to Impeach Governor Tom Wolf
Details
On May 15th State Rep Daryl Metcalfe began circulating a co-sponsorship memo for a resolution calling for the impeachment of Governor Tom Wolf. The language of the memo can be found here
Representative Metcalfe lays out the reasons for his effort, zeroing in on Governor Wolf’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak: his tyrannical executive orders, his threats to county elected officials who want to safely reopen their counties before received the okay from Wolf, his refusal to allow businesses he deems ‘non-life sustaining’ to open, his refusal to be transparent in the process used to determine which business stay open and which businesses must close, his refusal to reveal the waiver process used when 43,000 PA businesses requested a closure waiver and only about 6,000 were given the okay to reopen, his refusal to allow the legislative body (the real lawmakers) to be a part of his decision-making, etc., etc.
