Issue

No Excuse Mail-in Ballots Must Go

Details

As indicated from our alert sent out earlier today, the House State Government Committee has begun hearings on election integrity.  There will be 14 total.  And, if you were able to tune in to the livestream of the almost three-hour hearing, you heard much the same from the Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar and other Democrats as we’ve heard since November 4th — the election was the most secure in history, we had a free and fair election on November 3rd and there were no election irregularities.  Here’s the link to the hearing. If you watch the video, take special note of Representative Margo Davidson’s mask!

The major issue with the November 3rd election was no excuse mail-in ballots which were allowed after the passage of Act 77 of 2019. However, our PA Constitution in Article VII, Section 14(a) does NOT permit no excuse mail-ballots, but lays out specific reasons that a voter can request an absentee ballot.    Here’s the link to Article 7 of the PA Constitution scroll down to Section 14(a).

Action Steps

  1.  So, why hasn’t anyone questioned the constitutionality of the no-excuse mail-in ballot section of Act 77?  Contact your State Representative and State Senator and ask them that question!

2.) Don’t forget to sign the petition in support of State Senator Doug Mastriano. You can sign  here
